I suppose I can make some small dev notes here. This is my submission for Untitled Game Jam #11 with the theme being space. I don't know why, but I thought of alphabet soup, so I sort of meshed some weird mechanics with a classic space shooter. I hope you enjoy this game ^.^ I wish I could've spent more time polishing it and adding things like power-ups or more levels: maybe next time.
Side note, the controls are kind of weird, but I tried to account for people that like to have movement on both WASD and arrow keys. I tested playing this using Right Ctrl to shoot, WASD to move, and Q/E for switching. The other configuration that might suit some users better may be Space to shoot, arrow keys to move, and Z/C for switching...
Side Side note, I think this game might also be fun if played in tandem with another person. Just a suggestion! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I suppose I should preface this a bit. This is my submission for Balloon Jam 2019. All the programming was done by me using Game Maker Language and all the assets were drawn in game maker by me and the music was created by me using Beepbox.
