This was my second game jam but my first on itch. I was looking for game jams to practice game dev more when I found out about this one. I was already familiar with Ironmouse and other streamers she's associated with so I went with this one over other jams. I'd consider joining any jam that has a decent timeframe, but for the time being I will work on remaking games I had made for my college courses.

My engine of choice was UPBGE and my options for scripting were python, logic bricks and logic nodes. Having very little knowledge of python, I went with the visual scripting route by only using logic nodes. The benefit of logic nodes is that it is faster to put together and has more customizable options than logic bricks, but the current issue with that is that having a lot of logic nodes and nodes within them takes a toll on performance. Had I more time to optimize my game, I would have simplified my logic nodes and switched over some of them for their logic bricks counterparts where possible. And although it might seem like graphics could have been a factor to performance it wasn't as heavy as the logic nodes.

I found myself pressing c instead of x fairly often but is overall a really good game.

My game's title is also a reference to a story.

I solo deved the game the game Flowers For Gremolin. Hope it's not too difficult.

It's scary to "encourage" the player to move

I intended to apply a "fix" for that but ran out of time. I would have included a restart option or reset when falling through.

6E is pretty far in. About 2/3 through the maze.

How far did you make it? I couldn't really gauge the difficulty myself since I knew which paths to take.
