This game is really charming and I think you two were very successful with achieving your vision. I love the art (especially the painterly looking parallax backgrounds) and it reminds me of what I really enjoyed about old Newgrounds games. I think the detection areas for the wasp attack may be a little too large as I would be stung at what I perceived as a safe distance. Great entry!

I loved the cutscenes. They really made the game feel polished, and the artwork was great. I loved that there was a boss fight too. The game would have really benefitted from some sort of attack feedback (sound effect, visible flashing, etc.). The parallax backgrounds were buggy for me would only start to tile when the edges where already visible on screen, but that might have something to do with my monitor resolution (1440p). Overall great entry!

Thank you so much for the kind words :)

Great experience. I love the atmosphere and problem solving.

Thanks for the detailed bug report!

Thanks for the suggestion, done!

That means a lot to me, BananaMan! I'm glad you enjoyed the game, and I hope to continue making stuff like this. :)

I've been really interested in diegetic UI recently, and find your use of light radius to display the player health really refreshing. I also like how the upgrades provide a sense of game progression. I appreciate the HTML5 build as well. An end goal and a way to restart the game upon dying would have been a nice addition!

Excellent triangle render. Great performance... smooth rotation... what's not to love here? However, I have to say this. With the jam's theme being "heat", making the triangle red was a missed opportunity!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

I'm releasing my new game, Kiwi Climber. It is a cute, movement-based platformer where you play as a kiwi bird and make friends along your journey to the top of a mountain. The game is made with lots of love, and you can play the game here! :)
