I am officially dead. Caribdis, you are a master, an artisan, the blacksmith forging a perfect weapon, the god of the arts. 0.8 was absolutely perfect, nay, it was beyond perfect.

Well, the MC definitely got humbled. Serves right to know that nobody is invincible or untouchable. In anyway, that whole pirate adventure part was pretty good, and the last scene where Orion uses his power to trade items with El Coyote faster than he could see was pretty cool. I'm itching to see how Orion's strength is going to evolve: I'm waiting on an epic battle against Thanatos! It could even be a stickman animation, it would still be perfect.

By the way, still on the pirate note, Nova and Nancy's scene was perfect. Also, the Stanley Parable reference was really cool and funny. 

Then we had Annie's date, I loved it. Specially loved to see Annie awaken her inner yandere, I'm a sucker for gap moe. Her scene was also wonderful, and quite romantic by my books. Also, Annie can officially beat Goku: her feat with her ultimate spell was CRAZY. Caribdis, were it not the ren'py engine limiting you, I tell you you have potential in making action RPGs, frfr. On that note, I can't wait to see Orion do crazy stuff too; he's the potential man of Eternum.

There was also Alex's scene. It was also really good, and you madman, you got me when she said she was pregnant. I wonder when the babies will actually start to pile up lol.

And of course, the desert part. I liked it a lot, and seeing Orion and Dalia solo those golem/flesh guards was really cool. Also, Dalia's scene. I loved it, and also really liked that we can be the better man and console Jerry, and get him to better himself and earn his respect. Kudos to you Caribdis; I thought Jerry was just going to be the comedic relief side character, like Kai, but you're managing to make him grow on me.

And, of course, the ending. Jesus Christ, the ending. Calypso is crazy powerful, it seems, and Thanatos is still above Orion's reach. As I said before, I can't wait for an equal footing battle between them. And, lo and behold, they ended up in Calypso's realm! I'm absolutely STOKED for the next version: I can't wait to see what kind of adventure we will have in Hyril'ar, and I'm smelling promise of more Calypso scenes!

Once more, I'll be like Super Boo looking at the clock waiting for the next version, as you ALWAYS manage to make me be. I won't kid you that I'll have to admit Eternum is one of my autistic hyperfocuses. 

Long story short, I loved this new chapter, as always. Can't wait until next one! Maybe by then I'll be earning some money and I'll even be able to support in patreon, who knows!

You did it again! Are you satisfied with these wicked cliffhangers? Does it give you pleasure knowing your players will be squirming in agony waiting for the next update when something wild always happens in the last scene of the update? Because I am positively in agony and on edge, and I absolutely can't wait for the next version, this much PEAK is detrimental to my health!

Kidding aside, this was a PERFECT update, I loved it. Every scene was FIRE, and all scenes with the girls were beautiful.

So, spoilers ahead!!!

It wasn't even 15 minutes in and I was already screaming my head off! I knew since 0.1 that Eternum wasn't just a game and that there was something else to it, and I WAS RIGHT! William's reveals about everything were peak, they left me flabbergasted (even though it was all praticaly just as I theorized) and now I can't wait until we interact with the Founder again! He didn't strike me as evil, so William could be lying, but then again, not everyone immediately gives it away that they're trying to kill everyone and become God like Vitiate from SWTOR was.

Also, the whole plot with the xenomorphs from Andromeda, I'm itching to see where that goes! It's really cool.

Spending time with Luna is always sweet. Also, I can guess what she saw when Annie touched her hand. She didn't seem adverse to it either...

The adventure on Ekabar was also peak. I loved doing both routes, though I ended up choosing the Luna route to be my canon. Penny's route was very endearing, I loved that eccentric clan of vampires, and I loved dancing with her! YES, SHE WILL BE MY WIFE ONE DAY!!! Luna's route was also endearing and funny! Those two werewolves made my day, I hope we get to see them again. 

Also, Luna's focus was wonderful, I'll never complain about Luna. Her scene was also very good, it's cute how she shivers whenever she touches the MC, hope she's the next one to get the D 😭why can't all updates be Luna centric?

Penny's part was also great, and hot too. Her scene was peak, and I bet that supercar is gonna have to get its suspension checked lmao. And I always love to fuck valentino over, fuck that guy.

The pirate server part was very cool! I liked the vibe, and loved to see Chop Chop! I love that guy. Seems in the next update we're getting back there, and I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Also, Nova's scene was too peak. I loved every second of her part, and when she showed up in Jynx cosplay I awooga booga'ed just like Orion. 

And, of course, the ending. 

OH MY GOD THE CLIFFHANGER!!! THAT'S BAD FOR MY HEALTH!

I know Orion isn't gonna die, how can he die when the story is like, what, not even at its half yet? Maybe he can even die, but of course he won't stay dead and will come back probably stronger.

But still, HOW WILL HE GET OUT OF THAT PICKLE??!! It's killing me! I NEED THE NEXT UPDATE! MY LIFE WILL BE A HOLLOW WAITING GAME UNTIL IT COMES! I LIVE ONLY TO WAIT FOR ETERNUM'S NEXT UPDATE NOW!

Seriously, great work Caribdis. It doesn't matter how long it takes to update, you always keep your fanbase on edge waiting for it because it's always so peak and the cliffhangers are just too wicked to let us stop thinking about it. I love it. Great work as always.

Yeah, I just created an exception to it in Windows Defender. 

I tried playing in the browser version but it messed up my save, and Tang Ruo whom I had decided to be a woman was regarded as a male. Also, I like to use the Cheat Master thing to edit stats, and it didn't work on the browser version.

But, well, nothing bad happened when I used it after putting an exception on windows defender. It may just be something wrong with the file, maybe it had a link, like a patreon link, and it got flagged? Regardless, just adding an exception worked fine.

Windows Defender and Opera is simply blocking the download saying there's a virus. I trust the dev since I've downloaded this game multiple times already, but what could have happened? This never happened with this game before.

But the browser version works just fine, seems there's just something wrong with the download maybe.

You always do it Caribdis, you always do it. Once again I am stupefied by the amazingness of this update. Like, seriously, don't you ever get tired of outdoing yourself everytime you post a new update? Always going for the extra mile and doing something even more spectacular than it already was? My wig is stolen everytime there is a new update!

Anyway, time for the update review!

In the first scene, at the speech during the war, I was interested. I thought it was going to be some kind of flashback from a character, like I dunno, MC's father or the Founder, or whatever. I thought it was epic, and then... IT WAS JERRY ALL ALONG!!!

I lost my shit laughing. Seriously, your humor is always top notch.

Also, the scene where Orion appears behind the guy flipping a coin is just too cool. Orion was a funny character in the beginning of the game but I didn't think much of him, but with every update his character is more fleshed out and he becomes more and more interesting!

On that note, the way he went goblin mode on that guy on the wild west server was cool as HECK!!! Seeing him just use his power to solo everyone faster than they could see was incredible. I hope to see more scenes where Orion is a total badass in the future!

But moving away from the Wild West server, the part of the Death Game with Annie and Nova (I had written Luna lmao, I just can't get that darling out of my head)  was really cool! You totally trolled me into thinking we were about to have a Nova H scene though 😡

Annie's new scene was really cute. I liked it a lot! I just didn't expect her to be so daring and say she would be ready next time, I was like 😳😳😳

Coming back to the Wild West server, I loved it. And I loved a LOT of things about it.

1- Calypso FINALLY getting a scene, and it didn't disappoint. I loved it.

2- Dalia's scene. It was really good too.

3- Alex getting a nice kiss, you gotta love to see it.

4- The way it was also serious. That whole thing with the kid NPC had me shook, I didn't expect it. It was also pretty satisfying. If you can kill a pedophile in a game, it's a very good game lol.

Also, we finally got Alex seggs, and I gotta say, to me that was the BEST H scene in the entire game as of yet.

And, of course, the damn cliffhanger you put us on EVERY update. William KNEW us? He KNOWS about Eternum's nature and people dying and becoming NPCs? More importantly, his eyes were GLOWING? Does he have some kinda powers?

You can't just come, make me crave more story, and leave us blue balled for months 😭😭😭this game is so good, I need more! Im VERY eagerly (and not patiently in the slightest) awaiting the new update, and hopefully it comes before I have grandchildren lol.

Oh, you definitely should, they're all wonderful! I also have some other recommendations but I don't know if you're looking exclusively for HoneySelect based games, or if Koikatsu based ones are good too

A pretty good one is Caribdis' older title "Once in a Lifetime".

There's also "Ripples", which is pretty interesting since it dabbles in time travel, paradoxes and greek tragedy.

And also My Bully is My Lover, which has a beautiful story and wonderful characters. I swear I almost cried on prologue chapter 4.

I took my time to replay the game since the start with the new update, and I've gotta say: you ROCKED Nancy's first H scene. I don't know how you do it, but you're very good at it. Unlike most other visual novels I've played, the scene was ACTUALLY hot, not just because hot naked milf, but the very mood of the scene was pretty good. That was like, the spiciest piece of erotica I've ever seen, and I've seen plenty (although I shouldn't be proud of this).

Anyway, as for the new update, it was well worth the wait! First of all, we finally met the Founder, and he's really mysterious and has quite the aura of authority. I really want to see more of him.

And FINALLY we got Luna content! I LOVED every second of it. Luna has further solidified herself as best girl after this, she's just so adorable and endearing! And then we have Victor, merely the biggest MC x Luna shipper in the world, and his funny brother.

The party was also pretty good! The Nova content was wonderful (and the library scene was yet another scene that you managed to make incredibly spicy), and Penelope content was also pretty good! (though I wish we had gotten to pour some beer on that other bitch too.)

Nancy sex scene in the elevator was also gold. And I specifically liked how she popped the guy's head like a tomato (just exaggerating, but I'm sure it hurt like that happened) with a bat. The girlboss aura is just intoxicating. 

And finally, the BEST PART of the update: the Thanatos identity reveal. When MC and Nancy entered the house it was really creepy, got me the feelings of the abandoned hospital back in Once in a Lifetime. And when we saw Thanatos' picture alongside his mother I was like "NO FUCKING WAY". And I kept repeating "no way, no fucking way" for a solid two minutes, in complete shock. That was an evil cliffhanger to leave us on, but it was perfect, and now even though the update literally just came out, I can't wait for the next.

Must be because of that then. The rest of my PC is pretty good but my CPU is a bit average, so that may be why it lags.

Does it cost the renpy devs to fix this kinda thing? 😭

The same also happens to me with Black Magic. The game used to run fine even on my old potato PC, but after a certain point in the story it starts lagging terribly.

Only games that do this are Black Magic and Ripples.

Let's see in the next update. May or may not be an optimization issue, if so, perhaps it'll be fixed then.
