All good. I've been reading through the manual you posted but it would be nice if there were some tutorials to go along with it. Plugin seems really powerful but watching someone manipulate it to reach its full potential would be helpful.

Thank you for the quick response. Issue seems to be the same as many of the Mac users. When I go to app and double click it simply says "The application "Elements Character Generator.app" can't be opened. Looked at my settings to ensure third party apps are enabled and they are. I appreciate you looking into this.
Not a problem. Breaks are good just to reset your brain and deal with life in general.
This game shows a lot of promise and I’m really itching to test the source code out when you release it. My main hurdle in the game I’m making is trying to figure out how to get the sword swing incorporated. Would it be possible for you to take a screen shot on how you got it to work? If I at least got that part of the game mechanics done I think I could move forward on my own until your project file became available.
As for a long term request, would you do something like lazygamedev? He’s posting a series on how to make an RPG on GB Studio central. He drops the files for download and then writes an article on how he built it. That way people can try to do it themselves and then reference the code in an actual project file

I'm sure the game could use some polish but you're light years ahead of me.
As for the assets, I think that's the GB Oracles Environment pack. If I'm wrong, I don't have an issue buying the tile asset packs as they look great anyway.
Youtube tutorials would be great as I kept messing up the hit detection with my sword.
Keep me updated as I'm dying to purchase the project file even if it's not a complete product.
I just purchased your demo and it has the EXACT structure I was looking for. GB Studio has great potential but I haven't been able to master the basics to make something like this. Not sure how you feel about making the structure of this game available for download, but I'd be happy to pay for it. If I had the main structure of how you have your game, I think I could use it as a baseline to edit.
If you are willing to post it, please let me know.
Saw your post on GB Studio Central and tried out your game. Not a real fan of the movement but the combat system was excellent. Looking forward to this tutorial series. If possible, do you think you could post it on YouTube? Following along with the buttonology makes it easier. If that's not possible, I look forward to reading the articles instead.
I'm sorry, I should have been more clear.
I want to modify the Equip System to act as a UI for selecting magic spells. Just like the Equipment System, pauses the game when selecting the items, I want it to do the same but replace them with magic spells. Once the spell is selected, I'd like the selection arrow to rotate between actors currently present on the screen (to be able to select which actors are impacted by which spell). Below is a YouTube video of Secret of Mana as a reference. Its an SNES game so I'm not expecting it to be as polished but just something to get started with.
Is there a way you could modify this to allow so after you select an item, that the arrow would automatically recognize other actors on screen?
I'm trying to implement a magic system similar to Secret of Mana or Secret of Evermore where the screen pauses, the player selects the spell, and then ties the spell to an animation (launch projectile setting can take care of the last part) which impacts the actor.
I bought your assets pack and Vol 1 and 2 bundles. I've been enjoying them a lot but was hoping for assistance with the request above if possible.
This was exactly what I was looking for. Love this style of pixel art and it works perfectly with GB Studio. The reference page helps a lot. I see that the Ninja mode is coming soon and I'm looking forward to that. Couldn't wait so I bought the other pack to tide me over until then. I've always wanted to make a GB Studio game but could never find the right assets. If you make any more content (Maps, Tilesets, etc) I'll probably be your first customer.
