The Home Sweet Home quest seems to break if you went the slow path. When giving chickens and eggs, it won't proceed the quest further, even if you go past 20 days. The faster path that is 2500 Gold works though.
Fighting goblin type enemies is a pain in the ass, even with the most offensive stats maxed out. It has a chance to dodge and it will run away when at low health, meaning no loot when fought. Thankfully, health resets each battle (if not a bug).

So far, fun game.
Bug found: After playing a level again and doing worse than your previous run, the higher letter (i.e. A) will get replaced by a lower letter (i.e. C), although the high score still shows up.
The game does suffer performance issues in certain instances, usually at the beginning of the game.
I assume that getting 25000 Points reward an S Rank?
The Bonus Game is interesting, although seeing the ghosts is impossible when moving horizontally. Not sure if that was intended.
I do wish we have save slots. Accidentally pressing New Game could reset the game's save.
The new battle system is definitely too defense oriented in non-quest battles (i.e. 3x Goblin Shamans and 3x Bats). I do get that the new system was to minimize players putting all of their points on attack, but now the game strongly encourages putting all points in defense (except for 1 quest that requires 12 attack). Not only do some enemies do a lot more damage, but maximizing attack is small results.
A few things:
- Are backgrounds gallery bugged? It does not display Living Room Night, with light on and Konbini Night. Hallway Night, with light on shows it in french. I do not know how to unlock the top 4 background images.
- What is the 2nd missing picture in Saito that says "Training with Macumba"?
- LMFAO on clicking on Chiaki and Nothing going to a funny link. Haha.
Other than that, this is a good game.
The most obscure ones are the ones in the weekend and some can't be unlocked until after various quests are done. It is very easy to miss Teresa's House, Angelica's House, Mall, and City Library.
The weekday ones in school are easy to miss, mainly during noon time when overlapping with the Coyote and Hawk quests. Cindy sometimes pop out in various locations throughout the day.
For binoculars, go to house guest room and click on window on any Weekday morning. For plastic cups, Mia must be level 4 before doing this; go to beach sands and click on juice canister on Tuesday OR Thursday afternoon. For coupons, you must date Hana before doing this; go to the mall right side and click on the bakery door.
0.8a status. After experimenting with the chances of unlocking an H scene (peeping), I went through at least 30 days in that same spot and nothing. That save file is 100% complete by the way. I eventually unlocked it by making a New Game + and got it the first trey and then went back to my old file and instantly got it. Not sure if bug or I was super unlucky.
There seems to be an HP inconsistency bug. Doing the Arachne quest drained quite a bit of HP (I had low equipment are the time), but afterwards and going to regular hunt or a different quest treats my HP as full, and then doing another quest or continuing the Arachne quest displays the original low HP.
The skill point reset item is a pleasure in case someone decides to not put any skill points on the central skill, required to start the chain of side quests. On the other hand, this also breaks the game as using that potion after that required spot means putting all points in attack to curb stomp battles easily. But hey, it was enjoyable.
Managed to get 100% on Sasha. The dungeon relocations are good. I believe there is a bug in the water cave where the Smile/Sad block switch near Nagi won't trigger unless you do certain operations with the other Smile/Sad block switches. My only gripe is how the random generated placement of the hidden Kunoichi is very low (or perhaps I am just unlucky).
Also managed to get 100% on Nyx's Mode, although I did exploit a bug where I can go 20 items due to the Fishing Sword bug (save and reload). I am not sure where the 20th item is legitimately located, or if this is a bug. Also, I did playthrough this twice because Spirit Passage have me a 16/17 on items on play 1, but got 17/17 on play 2. I think it's the eye-paint that may trigger a missed count? Not sure. Anyways, the new dungeon is actually fun. The re-arrangement of the sky dungeon is much better. The Nagi boss is quite challenging, but figured out how to beat it.
Foe those asking, yes, I have both Sasha and Nyx files with 0 retries, 100% completion, and enemy dex filled out.
How did you get the hidden Master Mode? I never figured this out.
Anyways, Nyx's Fishing Rod is at V15 Park (Seiryu Village), right after completing the 1st dungeon but before going to the actual Seiryu Village. After exiting the 1st dungeon, go east to see the Seiryu Pagoda. Then, go south to the playground. West of the red cube monkey bars are hidden bushes that hide the Fishing Rod.
A couple of things:
- There are 3 bugs on triggering the Lizard Capture CG scene. The first is that it first summons the Lizard 1 scene. The second is that simultaneously, it would jump to the proper CG scene, but because it uses Lizard 1 sprite animation, it ends quickly. The third is when trying to view it multiple times, the game would crash.
- It seems when selecting a scene replay, when you click on the scene you want, the mouse cursor, when moving, will still move, accidentally selecting the wrong scene.
- Curious: While getting 100% unlocks all of the scenes, was the final scene only unlocked that way?
- What is this hidden mode? I haven't found this as of yet.
So far, game is awesome.
3.0.2 thoughts after 100% all the items on both Sasha and Nyx.
Bugs found in the game:
- (Sasha) Battling 2 Lizards in the Forest dungeon when trying to get the switch will get Sasha stuck.
- (Sasha) Going in stairs will clip you in the rails.
- (Sasha) Getting the CG scene with the Harpy causes Sasha to not move anymore. This happened twice. I decided to run from her instead of fighting her directly.
- (Nyx) Swapping clothes at certain points will have Nyx cover her private areas, even when clothed.
- (Nyx) Certain treasures collected for some reason respawn again and claim as if it was never collected. You may end up with 2 of the same weapons. It is possible on Nyx mode to get over a 101% completion rate.
- (Nyx) Doing a certain combination on the Skull and Lotus puzzle in the Sky Dungeon crashes the game. I have not replicated this, but a few people have shown footage of the crash.
- (Nyx) The enemies needed to progress through the status ailment blocks to get the crowbar do not appear consistently (green plant or fly).
- (Sasha and Nyx) One of the fishing spots do not show in the map, despite being able to fish in that map spot.
Questions (both Nyx and Sasha):
- Do certain attacks against the character ignore defense?
- Are the CG scenes going to be colored moving forward? I noticed that one of the CG scenes had color.
- On Sasha's game, I found an area in the beginning of the game southwest with the rifle and scope where a lever is located and shot. Is this still a WIP?
Critiques only:
- (Sasha) I CANNOT FIND the final CG scene! Not sure if the is WIP but checked everywhere in the game and nothing.
- (Sasha) The move to make the Forest dungeon mandatory before reaching instead of freeform was rather interesting. Definitely felt like survival up until exiting the dungeon.
- (Nyx) The beginning of the game (1st dungeon) is way harder than the rest of the demo due to only having a far lack of items at that point in the game. Once Nyx gets past that dungeon such as going to the city, the game is a lot easier due to being able to sleep in a bed to recover and buy items.
- (Nyx) The path to getting the crowbar is frustrating and unfair. This includes the programming bug mentioned above. Make the next set of blocks close to the fly just regular push blocks because either the fly can cause a different status ailment that prevents those blocks from being moved or it is accidentally killed preventing progress. Additionally, the next room north is also unfair because one of the snipers can immediately shoot Nyx, causing a lot of damage and fallback to the room before; this happens sometimes.
- (Nyx) Fishing for just regular fish seems to be random.
- (Nyx) I am surprised this part of game include a fishing spot accessible only to Sasha. I have not been able to get access to that in Nyx mode due to fog.
- (Nyx) Was the Witch's Hat meant to be that expensive? Getting that is going to be time consuming due to enemy money drops being luck-based. The money earned by enemies can vary between 1-999 coins, but I have been unlucky on my playthrough.
- (Nyx) Getting the Spider Tag at random chest during fishing is very difficult to achieve, even with the Treasure Glitch.
So far, this demo version is quite fun. While this is harder than the previous, it did add some anti-frustration features. The biggest gripe is finding the Kunoichi, which seems very random.
The last 3 CG in Nyx mode requires certain conditions:
- Allow a Lizard to approach prisoner 1.
- Intentionally get captured during rescuing prisoner 2 (requires crowbar to get to the area).
- Library requires sneaking up on ghost girl.
I have not found the final CG in Sasha. This is either a bug or I can't seem to find this one at all. Searched everywhere and nothing.
This game is very good for a demo 2.2.1. I enjoyed the entire game so far. Played through the whole thing. A couple of thoughts:
Bugs found:
- Item loss? I remember picking up Purifys on the 1st dungeon and after tinkering with the store and take options on items, purifies magically disappear.
- Hitting Kitsune multiple times crashes the game with a log.
- Trying to take an item that attaches to another weapon (i.e. scope) causes the game to prompt where the item needs to be attached at the wrong times. When re-loading from a certain save file, it would immediately prompt it.
- Defeating the water cave's boss before having it summon a 2nd boss of its kind will not allow you to escape the room. I assume you are supposed to defeat both bosses? However, there's an exploit where you can drag the boss leftmost, be south so that he can't hit you at all, and thwack it with a melee weapon until it dies. However, the boss won't summon a 2nd boss, causing the gates to not open, leaving you stuck.
- Trying to hit a switch while landing on invisible blocks will cause the character to hang and go nowhere. See City of Mist's jumping trial northeast (building north of the Apartment Key building).
- A few point of no return? There is a spot where you are supposed to break a barrier with a certain item in the City of Mist. However, fall into a certain pit and you are placed in the southern entrance of City of Mist. If a player did not get the proper item to break the barrier and reached the save point in the forest, they are permanently stuck there since the hole to go back to Makashima Island is closed.
- Re-loading old save files can trigger events that the newer save file may have completed. Example: Save File 3 having the 3 portals activated, but Save File 2 did not. Load Save File 2 and the portals exist.
Critiques so far:
- The store and take system needs some work. Please allow players the option to swap items instead of "Can't Take Now" or "Can't Equip Now".
- There needs to be a way to automatically combine quantity of items. Having 5 icons of torches that are 1-3 torches gets redundant and causes players to manually do it themselves.
- The apartment boss can potentially 1-hit-kill the character due to combo chain and very difficult to get out.
So far, the game is very fun and lets people rethink how to approach the game.
