Nice. Death pong or brick game but they shoot at you.

Amazing game! Putting the puzzle pieces together was a lot harder than putting the electrical components together which was the more fun aspect. I think if the challenge was emphasized in the components part, it would improve. Thanks for making a great game and congrats on placing in the competition!
Amazing graphics, gameplay, sound and music in 13 kilobytes!
I saw your prototypes but this blew my expectations.
Not sure if it was intentional or a size limit issue, but it would help if I had an indicator to which lane the next boost would appear. I just stuck to the middle lane because it kept me from hitting the sides and progress.
My score: 92,890
My best Score: 2027.8
The tutorial button didn't work for me, but I think some note on the UI could have just said, "Press Space to spin and again to change direction."
Bounce is the way to go. Walk between two trees and/or stones.
I don't feel like changing directions is very useful so just having arrow keys to move is enough and the rotation can happen automatically. It would also remove the need for a tutorial.
Great unique game play and simple enough controls.
Map generation is weird but works.
Scoring is not clear. I suppose you get more points for faster swings.
Otherwise, fantastic art style. Much like Castle Crashers, which I loved. Thanks for making a great game!
I don't like how enemies damage you just by touching them; especially when you have a slide attack and shoryuken attack (which is very weak) that requires you to be up close to them. I think enemies could require less damage as well. Perhaps I didn't play it enough and you're going for more of a Souls-like genre.
Otherwise, it has very visually pleasing pixel graphics and great retro music.
The game is really fun and looks really nice, but it's hard to know what I'm doing wrong. I read in the notification that a hotel was illegal, but what does that mean? Am I supposed to destroy the road leading to it. Otherwise, I could not read any of the notifications as I was frantically focused on trying to connect the roads.
The notifications look really nice, but it's really hard to read them when you're pressed on time. Perhaps have other ways of indicating that the player is doing something wrong.
Again, it looks really nice and I loved the controls, I just have a hard time lasting longer than a few minutes.
Why is the screen tiny? and I'd appreciate a full-screen mode.
Otherwise, I got 276 kills and 533 coins.
- Please give me enough coins to buy something the first time I go to the shop. I was 1 coin short. Then everything got expensive when I got to the shop at the next level.
- Give an option to leave the Shop early.
- Upgrades came quite slow. I'd like to get more ties sooner and then fight more enemies.
- Full-screen mode, please.
- When moving over an item. Show text that says, "Press E to increase health by 1." (for example).
- Mouse scroll zooms out.
- I'm not sure what "Slow down" is for.
It was fun. Thanks.
It's pretty fun actually. No sound but the art looks good. I died against the Sherif.
You want to speed up your attacks more than anything at first.
Maybe some more on-screen notes on what button to press what. I didn't know that pressing Tab reveals your stats.
Dash doesn't seem useful. I haven't played too long but perhaps when there are more projectiles, you can get out of the area faster.
Nice. I usually play y-invert mouse on, but since it's only horizontal movement, I got by. You can probably disable vertical mouse movement since there's no point looking up or down.
Level 10, Score: 9529
The gameplay reminds me of Risk of Rain 2. With some variety of weapons and enemies, it would extend the game.
Great remake! I got lost in the last few levels but I eventually found the door in true Doom fashion. I'm glad it wasn't too long because I don't terribly enjoy the find-the-key gameplay and I'm more of point gun and shoot player. Despite the limitations, the shooting mechanic was very satisfying and the FPS was fantastic (unlike my old memories of Doom on my old DOS computer).
Very beautiful art!
I don't consider myself a super good gamer, but I have played through my fair share of platformers and shooters and I could not get past this boat part. I kept dying. I died about 3 times before I just gave up. It was just too long and fighting the same 3 enemy types was getting old really fast.
I need to hear or see feedback (or both) on whether the moonlight attack was working. I know it works because that old lady in the beginning told me, but a sound or visual effect that I'm hurting the enemy would help a lot.
The sword felt useless on the boat. Even if that exploding enemy gets close, it explodes and damages the boat. I think some tweaks to the enemy behavior would make using the sword easier and satisfying.
I wish I could have had more time to get to the parts in the screenshots, but that's all the time I had.
Amazing game! Has the StarFox vibe going! The intro was kind of long, especially if you had to restart the game. The pixel art and 3D seemed to clash a bit since they aren't really mixed. Don't get me wrong, they look great.
Perhaps adding check points would have encouraged me to finish till the end. I died about 3 times before leaving giving up. I just wanted to get through the game. I always seemed to end up with 1 HP just before I get to the part with the missiles. It might be a good time to have health batteries(?) just before or after that point or like I mentioned earlier a check point.
The controls were great, though at some points it was hard to determine if I was going to touch the power up or the circle boost thing or dodge a moving pillar, or not.
Overall, it was a fairly unique game with a lot of 3D assets that were visually pleasing. Great game jam submission!
Thanks for playing! Your feedback is much appreciated! I was definitely going for the short and sweet experience. Others complained it was too short. Perhaps I could have made it increase difficulty infinitely, but I ran out of time and I wanted an ending.
You're the first to mention the audio. I'm glad it worked for someone since it's my first time creating my own music. Thanks!
