I also suffered the same fate... haven't played Celeste since launch so I had completely forgotten about climbing!

Hi all! Been really enjoying my time with the game! I wanted to suggest a tweak to an element of Madeline's wall climbing.
As it stands, there are scenarios in which you land on a wall while holding the stick in a direction. This causes Madeline to immediately start moving in that direction, and in some instances, can create frustrating situations as she correctly grabs the edge wall, and then sort of undermines your intent by immediately climbing around the edge of it, directly into spikes. Relasing the stick early is risky, because you want to make sure you grab the wall, and releasing the stick late can result in death even though you're doing the platforming as intended.
It'd be really handy if there were an option (or if the default behaviour were changed) so that Madeline is prevented from either wall movement, or climbing around the edge of a wall during a tiny window upon grabbing a wall. It'd be a pain, but if it detected hazardous movements only, the prevention window could be used only to prevent self-inflicted lethal manoeuvers. Despite enjoying the game a lot, I did find one stage extremely frustrating in this regard as you need to make reepeat precision jumps between floating walls partially covered in spikes.
Thanks again for making such a rad game! Hope I get to play more of it one day!
I wish! Honestly at this point the team has been separated (don't worry, we're all friends, just work and babies and stuff) and the game would need a significant rethink to get it where it needs to be. I'm interested in doing it in the future, but it won't be for a long while, if it happens at all. I'm glad you enjoyed your time with the demo enough to want more! <3
This is so good! I'm absolutely hooked on it! That said, I also have a bug to report! When you're in the high score entry screen and the OS level keyboard comes up, if you press B to erase the last character you entered, it can submit your highscore before you've closed the keyboard. Not sure if this happens 100% of the time as I only misspelled my name once and I'm legitimately struggling to top my current scores. :P
