Hey, yes there’s an option in the Settings for switching to full screen, and for adjusting the resolution.

You’re welcome. I hope they are useful for you. ☺️

You’re welcome. Please share some screenshots of your game if you can. I’d love to see it.

Thank you for always supporting me from the beginning! :-)

I never imagined that it’d grow to be as big as it has.

Thank you. I’m going to be putting some effort into creating more natural and organic textures (grass, tree bark, rocks, stones, cliffs, soil, etc) because those are things that I’ve really struggled with.

Oh yeah, absolutely. One thing I learned from playing a lot of DOOM when I was younger is the bigger the door, the bigger the enemies awaiting you are the other side! :-D

Hey, these look really great! I love the modifications and additions you’ve made to the doors too! Thanks for taking the time to share them! :-)

This looks amazing! I’ve only watched parts of the play through video because I’m planning on playing it at the weekend, I don’t want to spoil the fun.

Would you mind if I use some of the screenshots and the play through video in the store page for the texture pack? Of course I’ll give you credit for three level and link to this page.

OMG, this is amazing! It’s like exactly the kind of thing I had in mind when I very first started drawing textures last year.

I really love how you used both the tech lab textures and the toxic lab textures together, to give each area a different feel. I’m going to try out the level as soon as I get chance.

I’d love to hear your feedback on what textures you felt like you were missing as you made the map. I noticed a few original DOOM textures in the play through video!

I really should try making some DOOM levels, I’m just not sure where to start tbh.

Hey, thanks for getting in touch. I’m not able to take on commissions right now, but just out of interest, what did you have in mind?

Hey, thanks for getting touch. Yes of course, it doesn’t matter when you downloaded the pack and whether it was free or not, you can use them for commercial projects. ☺️

Yes, that’s absolutely fine. If there is a way of protecting them then that would preferable, but I understand that’s not always possible, depending on the engineer you’re using.

If it’s not possible to protect them, it would be nice if you could put a readme.txt file in the textures folder which says where you got them from and a link to them. Thank you.

Great ideas, but it’s like you can read my mind. I’m already working on animating the liquid textures, though animation isn’t my strong suit, so that might take some time, and I’ve already begun working on some tarmac/road/sidewalk textures! :-D

Thanks for buying them!

Thank you so much, for buying it and for taking time to provide feedback. It’s much appreciated!

I’m definitely going to be exploring the fantasy/gothic themes more, because I think there’s a lot to add there. Good shout on Heretic and Hexen. They should provide some good inspiration indeed!!!

Awesome, thank you! If you’re got any requests let me know and I’ll see what I can do! ☺️

Cool, what sort of things do you have in mind?

Hey, sorry for not replying to you sooner! I’m actually working on a huge update. Check out the latest devlog post for more info! :-)

Hey, thanks for buying it. Yeah I’m sure we could sort that out. If you go to my itch profile you’ll see my Twitter handle. DM me there and I’ll sort it out.

Very nice indeed! It’s great to hear that they helped to inspire you to practice and improve your pixel art skills by adapting the textures to suit your needs! :-D

Hey, thank you very much for crediting me for the textures. I like now you’ve used them. The crate texture works really well as a floor texture too! :-D

Oh wow, this is incredible! Such a clever use of the textures. I love how you’ve used the windows and I especially like how you’ve used the version of the wall texture with the faded yellow stripe on the front of the boat, so it looks like the paint has worn away. :-D

Thank you so much for your very kind words. ☺️

I found that bug too, right after the jam had ended! I tried to implement something like in Mario where a well timed jump as you land on an enemy gives you a bigger leap, but sometimes it sends you right off the level! 🤣

Hey thank you, it’s great that you enjoyed playing it. As soon as the jam finished I had a ton of ideas for new enemy types, so I’m looking forward to adding those soon.

Thank you so much. I’m really happy you enjoyed playing it. I got that feeling too, the first time I played after implementing the fireball power up. It’s so nice! I’ve got some ideas for some other fun power ups, so watch out for those in a post-jam update! 😄

Hey, thanks so much for trying it out. I have some ideas to distance it a bit more from Bubble Bobble, but unfortunately i ran out of time in the jam to try them out. Hopefully in a post-jam update though! :-)

Ah, thank you so much! What you’ve described is exactly the vibe that I was aiming for, so it’s nice to that it hits all the right notes! :-D

Thank you. I’m really happy that the arcade feel comes through, because that was super important to me when I started making it. ☺️

Thank you so much!

Yeah I’m really annoyed that I missed the issue for it not returning to the start screen on game over. I realised the morning after the deadline, but it was too late at that point! 😩 It’ll be the first thing I did in the post jam update!

Thank you so much, I’m really happy that you enjoyed playing it! The boss fight was a lot of fun to put together. The logic for it is super simple, but it just kind of works.

Thank you! I was worried at first that the battery mechanic might be a bit annoying, but I’m happy with how it turned out. ☺️

Thank you so much! I’ve been trying to stick to just two colours for the tiles on each level, and only using the ZX Spectrum palette, so it’s a challenge to come up with unique designs for each level!

Thanks so much for trying it out Jamie! I’m really help that you enjoyed playing it. Now I just need to hook up a CRT and dig out an 80s style joystick! :-D

First I got fire, then I got twisting vines. They are a really nice addition. I did encounter a bug though: I was chopping down some vines and some fire spawned on top of me and I couldn’t move at all then.

Thanks Skull! I’m really glad you enjoyed playing it!

Haha, this made me smile a LOT! It so basic and so simple, but it just kind of works really well!

This is a lot of fun, very relaxing, and the artwork (especially on the cards) is top notch. My only criticism is that at times it felt a bit random, because there’s no way to predict what’s coming next. Maybe if it were possible to hold more cards at once it would be possible to come up with more strategies.

Deck building would also be a nice way to solve this issue, but I appreciate that would be a lot to ask in a 1-week jam, especially when you’ve clearly done a lot already! :-)

I found the controls a bit confusing at first. The rotating action of the tools felt a bit weird, maybe because it’s difficult to use precisely. But I soon realised that’s the whole point, it’s about being fast, not neat and accurate! Once I overcame that hurdle I really enjoyed it.

And I really dig the graphics style. Very retro!

Wow, you weren’t kidding when you said it was tough! :-D

It’s a lot of fun, though I sometimes wasn’t sure how to combine the moves in the right way. At first I struggled to figure out how far left and right would move me. But once I’d played for a while and it started to click I think I got quite far!
