I wanted to give some feedback on the concert songs in the last update:
I don't listen to classical piano much (or at all) so I'm not exactly qualified to comment on Trent's track. The composition was nice, though. Not something I'd listen to on a regular day but I can vibe to it.
Sands of Saturn disappointed me a little. After spending the last couple of updates talking about how weird Cliff's ideas for music are, I was expecting odd time signatures, polyrhythms, polytonality, weird scales, strange key changes, etc. While their track was really good, it wasn't any of what it felt like the game was promising.
Karcenogen was equally disappointing for me, but I recognize that it's 100% a me thing. With a name as brutal as that, I was picturing something like Knocked Loose, Slipknot, Slaughter to Prevail, maybe even something like Vildhjarta. So when it turned out to be significantly less heavy, it felt a little underwhelming. Still a banger, though.
Why is everyone treating the new sprites like it's the worst thing in the world? I get it that the original art style had quite the charm but that doesn't mean this one inherently looks bad. I personally think it looks really cute.
Did I download the wrong version? There seems to be a lot of content I'm missing since the story ends after Rexile runs off. Am I missing something or is the most recent version simply not on Itch yet?
No matter what I do, the disk never goes anywhere, it stays stuck in its starting position. Can I fix this or do I have to move on from this event losing?
The saves are broken. Whenever I try to load my progress from build 1.0 I just get an error. Is there a way for me to skip straight to the new content or do I have to skip everything until I get to it?
I think the voice actors should try and change their voices to better match the characters they belong to. When listening to the different characters' voices, they all felt way too similar and often not matching the characters' design/personality. I personally think you could go the direction you gone with Dave's voice, aka giving each one a distinct element on their voice to make the reader go "oh, that guy" immediatelly when you listen to their voice.
