Yeah! Honestly I think it's fine to use AI for pose references or just general ideas & concepts to get you started on a referenced piece but it's irritating when people try to publish ai work as... an artist's work. And again there are literally people posting ai assets on here and expecting money in exchange for them, bro if I wanted your ai piece that bad I'd literally generate it myself and make tiny tweaks in GIMP or Photoshop, it'd take me barely any time just like it took you barely any. There's no way these people are fr like "these ai generated images took me 60 hours please pay me" and deadass serious about it. Half the AI shit I saw while looking is priced higher than actual artist's work, too. If you're gonna post AI assets at least make them free.

The character in my pfp (assuming you mean them?) rn is meant to have a gothic feel, they're a character in a 1920s murder mystery project I'll likely never finish which is also what I'm looking for backgrounds for. I might take your advice on that, I feel those would work well paired with the sprite artwork.

And artists tracing for non-educational methods, posting that art (even if used to learn), and/or selling that art is bad, therefore not an excuse for AI art. Have you seen the shit tracers get in art communities?? Just look at Pink Cat, who got thrown out of a convention opportunity- an actual business opportunity- because of her tracing. AI works by literally mashing different images together so the style & reference arguments fall short. AI is unethical and steals from artists. And, ngl, I have played around with AI until I got something I liked before for fun! ...It does NOT take near as much work as actual art does and the effort is NOT comparable IMO, esp with the years artists take to learn how to draw/paint/etc.

I have no problem with people wanting to search for that in specific, tag exclusion should exist by now, but my point is just that a straight tag initself wasnt necessary since straight content is so prominent you can just scroll past. However I get that one may be necessary now due to a lack of tag exclusion if thats what youre specifically looking for

I do agree the tagging system on itch isnt great. A lot of people here just seem driven by a dislike of lgbtq+ people so I got a bit emotional with responses. Also whether or not Im a "furry" is irrelevant, and this pfp is a character in a project Im working on. With each persoanl project I hyperfixate on I change my pfp to the character I like writing about the most.

I have read up on it with an ubiased mindset and that's why I'm against crypto. I used to be for it before I realized how harmful it is to our environment and unstable of a currency. The worth flucuates too much to be reliable and to make crypto our main is to basically doom the Earth (granted capitalism is already destroying it slowly)

I see your point but nothing can "look" straight or gay without relying on heavy stereotypes and it is not our responsibility to warn you for gay people EXISTING in a game. NSFW should be warned for accordingly but I don't feel we should have to make everything stereotypically gay just so you don't have to deal with seeing two lesbians since that upsets you so much. But anyways I understand not wanting 2 see nsfw but seeing a gay game you thought might be straight bc its not a walking stereotype really isn't that big of a deal and if that upsets you you are the problem

I personally like tyranobuilder! I like making visual novels with added in RPG elements, being a mix of the two genres, and while it takes a bit of work to squeeze into the engine it works quite nicely

Straight is and always has been the default for society. The reason LGBTQ+ people have our own tags is that representation is limited so we have to search for it explicitly. Also, most liberals are actually rightwing and not very supportive of gay rights please get your terms straight before whining online about how you're forced to see gay people

I joined pretty late but I didnt realize how long this had been going on for, haha. Anyways Im working on a Sucker for Love inspired thing. I just want to actually finish a project for once. It's going pretty well so far, I've got a decent bit done even just today!  Above is a gif background I created for the game just to add something to the post so it isn't so empty.

The CEO of cloudnovel bammed me framing me as Grimes, so, uh, I'm kind of desperate for money to buy TyranoBuilder Visual Novel Studio now. I thought about staying up all night working on assets. Would anyone be interested in purchasing them? Packs would be cheap, likely $1-2 at most. I can draw anthros and humans, my art is very stylized. I'll likely make a mix of both anthros and humans depending on how I'm feeling. I also draw backgrounds. The second example is kind of old, sorry, haha. I may look into working for other people, but I'm not so sure about all that.
