This a ton of content for such a short dev time. Good job! The game does a good job of balancing the combat and dojo building parts so that neither feels like a chore to slog through.

The story wasn't really my cup of tea, but everything seems to be working bug free (which is impressive considering you had to port to MV at the last minute). This might not be the right place to ask, but how did you port it to MV?

It has an interesting story, and I didn't find any bugs so far. Very movie-like. Good job!

The idea has potential, but it's a little frustrating in this version. There isn't any kind of in-game direction, which makes it hard to figure out what I'm supposed to do. I had to just run around trying all the buttons on my keyboard to figure out what I could do, and I wasted a ton of time trying to figure out how to get past that (possibly impassable) pile of logs. It's a solid entry despite all of that, though. I didn't encounter any bugs or other problems.

The writing in this game is very well done. Good job on your entry!

I don't have anything to add that hasn't already been covered by other commenters, but good job completing this demo!

The zombies are kind of frustrating (that dang alley one killed me like a hundred times) and it could use a bit more polish, but this is really strong start! Definitely one of the best I've seen so far in this contest.

Thanks so much for giving it a try! I'm glad you liked it.

The graphics and music go together great. I wish there was some way to change the controls, though. It's hard to do everything with one hand.

Good job making this in such a short time! All the puzzles were intuitive  and there are some legit tense moments.

A very fun little Fire Emblem clone, although I don't think it's quite ready for Steam yet with all the RTP being used.

The game has quite a few beginner game dev problems, but the story has potential. Good job finishing and submitting an entry!

Thanks! I think I found the problem door and updated the walkthrough, if you're still interested.

Well frick. Are you talking about the room checking part or the investigation part? Either way it's so short that it'll probably get DQed if people get stuck anywhere, but I want to try and replicate it so I can fix it. Thanks for giving it a try!

I can't find the candles for the life of me. But it's really good so far! The paper backgrounds are unique and the boss fight song is catchy. The main character is kind of being a brat, though. Do your chores properly and go to the dang job interview!

Spoilers ahoy!

I didn't have time to make a walkthrough to include with this game, so here's a short guide if anyone gets stuck (also, if anyone knows the spoiler tag for itch.io comments,  please let me know):

1) Check the doors to the garden, the study, the dining room (left downstairs door), the lounge (right downstairs door), the door in between the dining room and lounge, and the kitchen. Afterwards, walk back to the foyer. Sometimes it glitches and you need to check the door in between the lounge and dining room twice.

2) In the lounge, talk to each character at least once.

3) After the blackout, examine the window, the radio, the bloodstain, the body, the spot the gun was found, the lightswitch, and each of the characters.

4) During the trial, the correct answers are:

A) The recording started playing.

B) Someone inside the room turned them off.

C) Dr. Christie.

D) See the victim.

E) Ms Ruby.

F) Broken glass.

G) Dr. Christie

H) Ms Ruby and Dr. Christie are in on it together.

5) Walk to the dining room.

It's a good start to a cute little game. I really like the character designs for the horsemen of the apocalypse guys. I wanna see the last one! My only complaint is that it's hard to tell where you can and can't go in the mountains.

Thanks for trying it! It was a nice surprise to hear someone played it so long after the jam.

It's an interesting concept. Good job!

The humor didn't click with me, but it's still a unique idea. Good job!

I don't have any critiques to offer, but good job on making a fun well polished game!

That was quite a bit of content for such a short jam. Good job! It needs a little polishing, but it's a solid start so far.

This was really neat! If you don't mind my asking, what program (if any) did you use to make it?

I'm not sure what caused it, but ran into a bug where the ball got stuck in the center of the screen and the AI quit moving (I could still move my paddle).

Very well polished game, and it's lots of fun once you have the timing down. The only thing I can think of that might improve it a little is some kind of visual indicator that you're on beat.

Thanks for trying the game! If it's after the first roof escape, check the clock in the piano room. If it's the second, look at the bookcase of fairy tales in the office. I also included a text file with the walkthrough if you get stuck anywhere else.

It's a cool idea and has cute graphics, but timing when the jumps will work is kind of a pain. Especially when you're trying to jump out of the way of those dang vines.

I wasn't quite sure what I was supposed to doing, but it was a beautiful experience nonetheless. You did a great job!

This was a fun easy to pick up game. I agree with the others saying checkpoints and changeable controls would have been nice, but that's about the only criticisms I can come up with.

Thanks so much for the follow up! It really means a lot. I'm glad you made it to the end this time, and thanks for all the feedback! :D

Looks stylish and has nice music, but it's really hard. Still very fun, though.

The concept is fun, gameplay works great, and the music is catchy. I haven't found any bugs or glitches yet. This is one of my favorites I've tried in the jam so far!

When I select "To the crater", the application just closes (no error message). I'm using Windows 10 if that helps.

The music was a little startling when it first popped up (maybe because it was starting off with a pretty sharp noise?), but that was a  fun relaxing little game.

Thank you so much for that! Do you have any ideas on what might make it more clear that you need to run from the ghost? It's no good if everyone gets game overs early on in the game lol.

Thanks! I missed that one.

Updated because I forgot someone in the credits.
