the ball seems to travel through the flipper fairly often..

I've been working on this game since Christmas, on and off outside of my full time job, its a surviors like think 20 minutes until dawn meets nuclear thrones..
Its still very early in development, needs lots of balancing and more content.
The game is built in Odin lang - with sokol for the gfx & OS abstraction.

Web build will be coming soon

Thank you, i'd actually like to turn into a full game eventually

that’s totally fine, thanks for the reply.

Hey just wondering if you're open to doing commission work?

haha thanks for playing, that’s definitely a good idea to add one, maybe I’ll do an update soon

Apologies, seems to be an issue with Godot 4 web export, I've updated the export so its using a single thread and hopefully you shouldn't encounter the issue again.

wow, this is really good

nice, i enjoyed it, I feel like if it had more time and you improved on the game mechanics, there's potentially a fun game in there

Kind of annoying to use when they're not in a texture atlas, regardless the animations are great!

They're not taken from the original game.

Game crashed when I clicked the retry button

very well written, thank you

I'm pretty bad at making logos but here's a work in progress version

  • Hello! My name is Louis Johnson I've been working on my small rogue lite arcade shooter BYTEBLAST for about a month now, progress has been a little slow because I only have time to work on the project after work.

The idea behind the game is to be a quick game that you can pick up and play for 5-10 minutes and try and get a new high score or unlock some items you might of not used before. A big inspiration is the binding of isaac & enter the gungeon
So far I've got three simple enemies:
  • Single shot enemy (shoots a single projectile straight at you)
  • Directional shot enemy (shoots 3 projectiles at a fixed direction)
  • Tracking shot enemy (shoots a tracking projectile that tracks you down and explodes)

Any feedback, ideas or tips would be great appreciated. Hopefully I'll have a demo out soon for everyone to play!

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I'm a blender noob. I'm trying to export the model and its missing the texture that I painted on it. I've tried both fbx and dragging the .blend file into unity

Really nice game but the camera shaking at the start feels a bit weird

Nice game, the sound was great and seemed very polished

Really good graphics, seems pretty polished! damn those cars are going fast :P

Cool game, felt like I was playing a frog version of Spiderman! My only criticism is, it is quite hard

Yeah it definitely needs sound! thanks for playing

Thank you!

Thank you! Yeah I really wanted to polish and expand on some ideas a bit more, I only found out about the jam last night, so I didn't get to spend much time on it.

Really polished for a jam game, good job guys!

Sorry for the late reply..

I'm using Mac Mojave 10.14.4

Omg this is great, reminded me of passage a little bit. It's weird when games make you feel things..

Couldn't open on Mac v10.14.3

It was actually pretty fun, with some polish it would make a good mobile game

got stuck on the ledges when I collided with them.

Not too bad, I had some bug where I got stuck on the platform when I jumped too late, then it blocked me from jumping.

also the page is a bit hard to read with the background color and text color.
