Waaaa, thank you very much!! That made me very happy! ;w;

Waaaaaaaaaa, thank you very much for playing both versions and for your kind words! I'm working hard on this game, so it makes me insanely happy to see that people are enjoying it ;w;

Truth be told, I was a bit embarrassed about the alpha version, but I'm glad you could still enjoy it hahaha.

I tend to post news on twitter, and I also make some entries here on itch.io to talk about the current state of chapter 1. I'm in the last months of production, so my guess is that I'll be able to release it in early 2025. I don't want to risk giving a date yet because there are some things that don't depend on me, like the English translation, and I have no control over how long that will take. I'm waiting until the game is 100% done before I can give a date.

Thank you again! I'll keep doing my best. If you enjoyed the prologue, I think you'll have a lot of fun with what comes after!

Thank you very much! ^^

Thank you for reporting the bug and I'm very sorry about the inconvenience! I've fixed it and uploaded the new version. Hopefully, it works well now.

Hahaha, ¡muchas gracias! Y yo qué ganas de acabarlo. Ya me queda poquitooo (>w<)

Thank you very much! ^^

;w; Thank you very much. I'm so eager to finally release this after so much work dfgdf

Thank you for having given the game a try, in any case, and I'm very sorry about the sour experience ;_;

I'm sorry you're getting this error. It's the first time I see it.

I've googled it and found a few people reporting this on other RPG Maker games. The reason why it happens isn't clear, but it might be relased to a RAM issue.

I'm very sorry that I can't be of any help ;_;

I'm afraid that it won't initially be released for Mac. The reason is that I don't know how, since I'm not a programmer, sadly ;_;
I'm very sorry!

Development of Chapter 1 (which is what happens right after the prologue, and takes place in the Kingdom of flowers) should be finished in less than half a year. I can't give a date yet because I don't want to risk anything going wrong, but I'm in the final stage.

I might make a new development news post by the middle of the month ^^

The lyre scene was so good. How something so small could have so much meaning, and how such a gesture could be so gut-wrenching. To me it felt like stabbing his humanity and all that was still beautiful in him; I was destroyed during that scene. But the MC seemed to be in a spiral of hateful self-harm, so... I felt that picking the kinder option would have been me, not her, so I tried to RP her broken heart accordinly.

Aah, I'm fangirling again. Sorry, I just love this game so much hahaha. I wish my English was better so that I could express my thoughts more properly. Anyway, thank you again and keep up the great job! The stories you make are the kind that stay with you after you finish playing.

Edited for typos ;;;

I just purchased the soundtrack. Listening to it is making me teary again hahahaha.

You have created such a beautiful game. Thank you for your hard work.

AAAAAAAAH!! Y-you've KILLED me! I've been playing this for hours straight, all teary. I'm heartbroken at the way the story unfolds, and the way you masterfully wrote the main character's thoughts, full of desperation and anguish, almost to the point of insanity.

I kept wondering just what was crossing the hunter's mind. I felt as hopeless as the MC did and understood her pain well, to the point that I picked some regrettable choices on my first playthrough (something related to a lyre) because I thought that they suited the tragic state in which her mind was, even if they'd break my heart further and were hard for me to stomach.

Your characters are plain fascinating. So well written, so alive in their eternal sorrow that they can cut you through the screen. To say I love the way you write is an understatement.

I've gotten the three extra scenes and oh my god ;;;;. I'm completely and utterly IN LOVE. They're so satisfying, and moved me to tears again from the very first sentence, when I realised what they were about (and with that music, on top of everything...). I love the answers (and new questions) that they throw. I think it was a genius idea to add them.

AND THAT FINAL TWIST. Perfect, like everything else! SDFSDF Please, continue making this masterpiece, I really need to see what happens next, and I need to see more of these characters... I wonder if they could ever find happiness, if only for a single second. The longing is so real!

I've been fangirling with a friend as we both played the game, she loved it so much too and found it very inspiring. Also, sorry for the long post, I have so much in my chest right now and I can't even put half of it into words because I'm clumsy sgfgdg. I'm feeling emotional right now hahaha. What can I say; I love this game to pieces, thank you for making it ;w;

Aaaah, thank you very much for following the project so closely! ;A;
I really can't wait to see it released so that I can know everyone's opinions about it. The thought keeps me going!

Thank you!! ^^
Oh, now that you mention it, I think I've seen some itch.io pages that host several files. Perhaps I can do the same and host both demo versions, so the player can choose which one to download.

I also want to keep the alpha demo out of pure nostalgia (>w<)

EEEEH? REALLY?? O_O I didn't know that about Steam! How can that be legal? That's very disturbing ;;;

In any case, I wasn't planning to remove the demo from steam. I would just update it to 1.0, so the current alpha version would be lost forever. That's why I thought I could keep the Alpha version on itch.io as a memory of how everything started ^^ The differences between both versions are quite noticeable.

You're very welcome! It's me who thanks you for organising this awesome event. I'm honoured to participate~

Thank you for your kind words! I'm happy you're enjoying the art so far ^^

Thank you very much! ^^
In that case, I'll consider the possibility of selling it on itch.io as well, though I think I'd wait until the game is 100% finished. Meanwhile, it'll release as an Early Access on Steam as soon as chapter 1 is ready (it'll have 3 chapters in total.)

I wish I had a team hahaha. I'd have been able to get work done faster ;w;

Thank you for your kind words!! I'm happy you like the improvements and new art ^o^
I'm working hard to make this game the best it can be, and it's my hope that people will enjoy the story and collecting all the CGs.

So you think keeping the alpha demo is a good idea? I think so too. I like comparing how it started VS how it's going, even if I'm a bit embarrassed about the first demo haha.

Hello! The game  has been in development all this time. I don't post developer news on itch.io, though.

You can read a recent summary of the current state of the project here.

For further news, feel free to check the game's Twitter or Kickstarter ^^

Thank you for your interest!

I'M SUPER EXCITED! Really eager to see more of this ship. Something about these two characters broke my heart and gave me goosebumps in the current demo; I need more! It makes me very happy to know that there'll be romantic scenes ( * - * )

Keep up the great work and thank you for the update!

I just finished playing and I'm officially destroyed (and very scared.) The music, the art, the writing... everything is eerily beautiful and tragic, and that's something I really love about your games. Very good job! You kept me glued to my chair.

YAY!!! I'm very happy to know about the update! (>////<)
This game has a special place in my heart. I love romantic stories and this one was just so well written and mesmerising. Really left me hungry for more.

Good luck with all your projects and keep up the good work! The gothic and dark atmosphere of your games is so enthralling.

(As always, sorry about my English.) orz

This was truly an amazing experience. I'm in love with the melancholic and mysterious atmosphere, and with the way these intriguing characters interacted with each other. The writing is so good, and so is the art. I really was falling in love with that man!

Your games have something very magical and unique about them, and are able to convey the most beautiful and also saddest emotions. At some point, I even found myself teary.

Very good job and thank you for this wonderful game!
(Sorry about my English ;_; )

Thank you very much for the reply! I've bought the plugin and tested it, and it's been fantastic so far! I'm very happy with my purchase, especially after having tested other plugins that just gave me trouble after trouble. This one works so well and smoothly that it's a shock for me hahahaha.

Very good job! ^^

Hello! I really need an audio plugin that lets me crossfade similar BGMs smoothly as the character walks into different maps. This plugin sounds like what I need.

However, before buying it I'd like to make sure that I won't run into the same problem that another audio plugin just gave me, which is the bgm not playing automatically if I load the game. It's such a silly thing that I'd have never guessed it could happen *sweatdrop*.

Thank you for your time!

!!! ( * O * )

Thank youuuuu!! Aaaah, reading this has made me insanely happy! I'm very glad that you connected with the characters so much, and that you find the story enjoyable! I'm working hard on episode 1, which is longer than the prologue and contains the whole kingdom of Fortuna arc. My wish is to have it released on Steam this year. I hope people continue enjoying the story as much as I'm enjoying writing it!

Thank you again! You gave me extra energies for today's work ^^

Hello! I could remove the plugin that adds the effect to start the battle. I don't know if that's what causing lag for you though ;;;

The final game will be made in a different tool, so the battles will be different.

Thank you very much for playing the demo and for sharing your impressions!! And also for appreciating all the effort behind it ;w;
Knowing you enjoyed it makes me very hapopy, and gives me more energies to keep working hard on this project.

Hello!

Thank you for your interest and I'm very sorry about this inconvenience. I actually don't know how to make it work on Mac ;_;

I think I might be able to make it available for Mac when I remake the demo in Unity, as soon as RPG Maker Unite is released!

GDFGDF Thank you very much for your very kind comments!! I'm always nervous when I receive a notification for a new topic, so I was very relieved to see that you have enjoyed the game, hahaha.

The Silent Kingdom got funded on Kickstarter, so I'm currently working on it.  My plan is to release it in an episodic manner, as an Early Access on Steam. So it will keep being updated whenever a new episode is ready. All the development news are posted on twitter and Kickstarter ^^

Thank you very much for your interest! Your comment made my day and gives me even more energies to keep working on this!

Aaaaaaaah! Oh my god, thank you very much for your very kind words! You just made my whole day ;A;!!
I'm very happy you finally got to try the demo, and that you enjoyed it so much! Thank you for appreciating it, this gives me more energies to keep working on the game. I'm doing my best.

The most immediate beta that will be released is a small one that might last 30-60 mins. Only backers can participate, though. Everyone else will be able to purchase the game on Steam once it goes into Early Access, which hopefully will happen the next year, and will contain the whole chapter 1.
Chapter 1 is expected to be a bit longer than chapter 0 (the demo).

This Kickstarter post contains most of the info about the release schedule: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1039568441/the-silent-kingdom-dark-otome-rp...

I
 tend to post news on Kickstarter, and also on twitter: Lucky Cat | Otome JRPG (@LuckyCatOtome) / Twitter

Thank you again for your words and support! Reading your post made me very happy ^^

I'm very happy you liked it, thank you very much!! The game has been funded on Kickstarter and thus I'll continue working on it ^^

It should be released as an Steam early access the next year.

Hello! Thank you for your interest in the game! Sadly, I don't know how to make it compatible with Linux, as I can only do what RPG Maker allows ;_;
I'm very sorry!

¡Holaaaa!

DFDSFDS You can't imagine how happy it makes me to read comments like yours. It gives meaning to all the hard work, and of course it also gives me more energy to keep working on this!

Thank you for your kind and encouraging words, for appreciating all the details, especially the story and the characters. I'll do my best to get this game funded and make it a reality ;w;

Ohhh, thank you very much for playing the demo and for your kind comments! I'm really glad that you enjoyed it and appreciated both the heroine and the Knight =^^=

I love morally grey characters, they're a weakness of mine, hahaha. And I think this game is going to be very grey, indeed ;;;

Now that the demo has just received its last update, I'll start working on the relaunch campaign.  I'll post the notice when it launches. Let's hope it succeeds this time! If you can help spreading the word, it'll be very helpful ^^

;A;!!! T-thank you very much!! To tell the truth, I'm always nervous when I see that I got new comments about the demo, but reading that you really enjoyed it made me feel very relieved, hahahaha. Thank you for your kind words, and for having been so invested in the story. Your post has made me very happy and given me more energy to keep working hard on this!

I tend to enjoy games where the plot and the romances are both important. They get extra love from me if the romance is very integrated in the plot and not treated as something secondary, minor, and/or underdeveloped. So you know what to expect from my game, hahaha.

I think the Steam price will be €20, but early backers for the Kickstarter relaunch will get it for €15. Now that the demo has received its very last update, I'll work on the relaunch campaign. Wish me good luck!

Waaaa, thank you very much!! Your words are very kind. It always makes me insanely happy when someone enjoys the demo, since I worked very hard on it. I'll do my best to make the rest of the game as good as possible!
