I enjoyed the game, the length is short and sweet with good pacing and the character design for Leumin looks great. It could improve a bit more with the UI since the text is a bit hard to look from the text box, but overall the game is well made.
I rly need to say this tho, Leumin reminds me of Vivia Twilight. I usually don't like yanderes, but my bias of Vivia made me like the character more than I would have LOL
The game is really fun to play. I love the art style, and the characters are interesting as well as the gameplay being smooth. It is a proper horror game although it doesn't fit the Halloween concept. It is still fun though, and it's fun to try to get all the endings. Overall, this game is a great contender in winning the game jam.
Hello!
It's alright, I'm glad that you've reached out to me. I've come across the bug when interacting with the shadow. (Vol) When clicking on the crystal ball of Rahel in the inventory and close it, the info of the crystal ball still appears on screen. I can easily remove it just by going back to the previous text. It might actually be the same with every object, but it doesn't ruin the game a lot. Again thank you for reaching out to me and I appreciate your words of encouragement. :)
Here's the typo I found, it's the part where the player picks "How did you find out about this party?"
And since you have mentioned making other games I can check them out in my spare time and review them also. Don't sweat it trying to make a good mystery, one advice I can give that I've learnt after playing the DGS Duology is to trick the mind of the players. Make it subtle and have the player think of the obvious answer, then when new information is discovered it could change their minds in a new light.
Good luck on your future projects!
I'm reviewing this after I'm finished playing the game and it is phenomenal. The story and world is really interesting with the characters and their imps background and personalities, the watercolor art style fits the tone nicely and the writing is well done with good humor, pacing, and characterization. I would say that there's a little error of Lupin referring Goose as "him" instead of "they" but that can be fixed, along with the characters facial expressions can be still at times though with the watercolor that is understandable. As for how the mystery is written it is logical and satisfying to solve it, though for someone who have read and play mystery media it's too easy solve but I'm really impressed that it's tied in a neat bow especially since it's the first time you've ever did a mystery.
I'm hoping that you'll be planning to make a sequel of the game and explore more of the characters and their backstories (especially DeLuse, she's my fave). I'm hoping it would have a nice twist of the mystery next time and the character sprites have more lively animations. Looking forward to your future projects.
The graphics and pacing is really nice and the soundtracks fits the game. While there are one a few characters they serve their purpose and the two main characters express their goals and personality well for the players to feel attached to. Overall, while the game might be short it is filled with so much emotion that the played can feel and express. Can't wait to see your future works, I'm looking forward to them.
