While you can of course persue romance with the cast, the main focus in Call Me Under is the story. Our cast are all incredibly well fleshed-out and written in a way that ensures they are not simply 'just' love interests, they are their own individual characters with detailed backstories and secrets, and have complicated lives which include some of them having relationships (not all romantic in nature) with each other. The poly pairings are not already established either, they are either budding or mere flirtations unless you choose to pursue them together.
We have poly people on the team and have always strived to ensure our poly rep is as natural as possible, especially when the rep for these kinds of relationships in media is often so badly misrepresented. If you choose to persue one of the characters who is part of a potential poly pairing as an individual romance, as with ALL of our games, there will be no awkwardness, jealousy etc. Again, that isn't something we wish to portray, and we've always had wonderful feedback about the way we handle those romances.
The MC is not a third wheel, but a new face/fish out of water in a city where the story makes it clear that they need to find their footing and establish themselves to understand and unpack what is happening.
We really hope you can still enjoy the story despite feeling this way!
That definitely shouldn't be happening! Do you know if you maybe don't have much free space on your machine? If that isn't an issue, you can try changing the graphics options in-game by holding down SHIFT + G when the game first loads. From the "Graphics Acceleration" menu that appears, choose the renderer to use, then exit and restart the game. If there isn't an improvement you can try the different options and see if any work for you! If the issue persists, please email us with your system specs on info@lunarisgames.com
We actually started the process but unfortunately the path we were taking with our porting company no longer exists so we can't afford it ;-; It would cost us about $20k per title to put on console. We would LOVE TO if the opportunity ever arises if we're able to get support from a publisher but that is also really hard for indies.
Thank you for your lovely comment, you made us smile! And, yes, we are based in Britain and our lead writer is a Brit, hence the humor. We're really glad you enjoyed the game and you're absolutely not disallowed!
Regarding the Omen story, we did actually overlook the fact that we took out some end cards when we re-released the game and in between the events of the base game and the first DLC, he went on a little trip home to visit his father and sort out some 'Important Demon Business.' That's kind of it, so not really missing anything major, but sorry if that was confusing! We're looking to add those end cards back in with a future update :)
YES it has happy endings, 9 of them if you include the poly romances and the no romance ending :]
This is something we’re also really passionate about because why should you pour 10+ hours into a game and grow to love the characters just for it to end in misery, right? So yes, you can have a happy ending AND there are even DLCs post-ending with even more happiness for you to indulge in.
We made sure that the choices you make are very well labelled so you don’t stumble into a bad ending also, but if you’re unsure please feel free to contact us and we can nudge you in the right direction!
