There's quite a lot to go through still, and work is progressing somewhat slower than what I'd like, but I'm still working on it!

Saves are located on the partition where you installed your system, in the folder that's probably called something like this: C:\Users\%Your PC Name%\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\TheBite. 

You can copy/paste them from there to wherever else you have installed the game  (I'm assuming you want to transfer saves to another PC).

I don't know how itch.io version works, but you can grab a version from Patreon/Subscribestar, those are stand alone. Just need to extract them somewhere and run the .exe file.

As of now, it might get you over the threshold for some choices. I haven't tested it personally. In the future, where power shines most is during open exploration parts or opening up unique options/dialogues for specific traits.

I don't know how to do it to be honest. I've never played any games on a phone :(

There are some cheat mods already out in the open that might help you out.
As for the error you get on your phone, I'm not officially supporting phone version, but if you send me the log I'll look into it.

I'll check to see if there were any issues with Control implementation (a lot of the backend code has been rewritten in the last update), but in general you lose control when succumbing to your instincts and you gain when you resist them.

Another user reported the same issue while using an outdated walkthrough mod. Check if that's the case with you as well.

Oh man, sorry for not figuring out this earlier but I didn't realize these notifications had to be clicked in a certain way to get to the post in question. Whenever I clicked on the notification that there's a new post it just brought me back to the front page. :D 

Anyway, I make it a practice not to reveal which kinks I plan on before they are in the game as I feel they are a bit spoiler-y, but I can confirm the vampires in this game are not undead.

Yeah, the traits rework was planned for either this release or to be patched in sometime in January. But good thing you found it, I completely forgot that that module also interacts with the base game. Will patch it up so it doesn't interfere with the gameplay.

If translation works, you are asking about changing of the player's name on phone versions of the game?


If so, I don't offer support for the phone versions of the game, only PC/MAC. For phone support you'll have to talk to whomever ported the game to Android.

Sounds like something went horribly wrong with your game.

The quests Meeting the Boss, Lessons in Spirituality and Testing the waters aren't implemented yet, so that's why they don't work, but everything else should clear out without an issue.

Are you using any mods, game edits or translations? Could you send me your save game file?

Not a bug. I forgot to include "end of content" message at the end of two implemented quests ("Psychology 101" and "School's in"). The three other quests are not yet implemented.

That sounds like a bug. Do you mean you get the "Psychology 101" twice in a row? Like the mission repeats itself?

Yes, only the "Psychology 101" and "School's in" are available in v0.81. I added that part in the changelog but I forgot to add a credits scene at the end of the quests to inform players that's all there is to it.

Yeah, I kinda went on a hiatus for about 3-4 months, that's why the current release is so late. Thank you for the enthusiasm. :)

Thank you for your kind words! I try to put the lore and world-building dialogue behind optional menu's but sometimes I might miss some.
Could you tell me if you remember any specific dialogues that you noticed were too long?

The version on patreon is the same at this moment. I usually post new builds first on patreon/subscribestar and after a couple of weeks to general public.

When is the next version out? When it's done :D
But yeah, most of the time it's around 2 months between releases, but a few (this one included) needed around 3 months, downtimes not included.

And yeah, making a new walkthrough has been on my radar for quite a long time actually (you could actually read a few mentions in my older patreon posts about it as well), but so far I've yet to figure out a good way to implement both walkthrough and cheats in the game. As for what happens in different combinations of trust/affinity, depends on the situation and character. Some characters care a lot about trust, some about affinity, some about neither and some about both. It also depends on the situation.
There are no rules about which stats are important either. Balancing has so far been a low priority, and will probably stay that way for a while still, but some skills have limited usage, while others will have more broader one, depending on the situation.

Yeah, I'll add a cheat that adds tons of stats to the character and affinity/trust points to all characters. I thought about how to implement it before, but now that I've read your reply I had an idea of how to do it simply and properly.

I'm not sure I understood your request. If you mean not to package all the scripts into an .rpa, that was done specifically to somewhat discourage people from picking at the script. Believe it or not, more than 80% of "bugs" encountered are because people change stuff and then something breaks sometime down the line.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind modding at all, but if you wanna do it, you're on your own :D

Obfuscating affinity and trust values is by design. There are a couple of fan-made walkthroughs out there that show the effects and there's also the official one that does the same, but that one is paywalled behind 3rd and 4th patreon/subscribestar tiers.

Just to be completely sure, because I have no idea why there would be any issues with this interaction:
-you place the two blood bags (both of them) in the fridge.
-you leave both blood bags in the fridge.
-you press the Close button highlighted on the screenshot I posted

The code you were looking at (table and computer) are coming up later in the story, they shouldn't be active yet.
