Thank you very much Jimmy Schubert!! We're really glad that you liked it!
We'll tell you if we manage to release a full version. =]
Nice game!
I liked a lot the idea of controlling a spaceship and having to get out of it to pick some crystals.
The graphics are simple and nice, it really brought me the feeling of old school games. The SFX suited well with the graphics and atmosphere. But I think that the volume could be lesser, to level with the PC's volume.
The gameplay is ok. I felt uncomfortable with the visible area when moving in the stage. Sometimes I couldn't see the enemies comming and I died without being able to react. My suggestion would be to make the camera follow the character more at the center of the screen.
It's a very cool game. Congratulations!!!
Really nice game!!!
The graphics are very cool, and the music and SFX suited very well to it.
Liked a lot the mechanics, it has a good Worms 1 feeling and has a lot of different weapons. The protection and reflection shields are nice to protected yourself, but there are good ways to get around it, like using a bomb.
Showing the angle all the time as numbers was really nice too.
I only got some problems while using support items, like the shields and the warp. Since you have to press the fire button to activate offensive weapons, I accidentaly pressed the fire button after selecting a support item and used it. I think that could be some feedback that the item is ready to be used.
It got a while for me to use horizontal arrows to move the angles and the vertical arrows to change power, but when I got used it was fine.
It's an amazing game!! Not only because I love Worms-like games, but because it's well polished and fun to play. Congratulations!!
Thanks Magn!! We're glad you liked it!
The screen is small because of the resolution of the game, that is 128x128, so we put the window size to 512x512.
We got some problems while putting the game in full-screen. The art got a little blurred.
But thanks a lot for the feedback! We're taking notes and will work on it! =]
Amazing game!!!
The simple graphics are very nice and stayed in harmony with the rest of the game.
The menu music is also very good, and the SFXs fitted well with the game.
The gameplay is good. The mechanic of having to go to the circle to hit the ball, and then controlling the direction of it, is very interesting.
Liked a lot the interaction of the audience and its visuals too.
I had a lot of difficulty in the beginning to understand how to play, that we had to stay on the circle to charge the power and hit the ball. But after I learned it, I had a lot of fun.
I've also got some bugs with the circle. It happend one time that the circle vanished and the aim continued. Also, it happend that the player character got stuck in a circle after hitting the ball.
But the game is awesome. It's very fun to play!! Congratulations!!!
Hello!
We're an indie game developer team called Magical Dog Entertainment, and we're creating a game called Curse of the Cowboy.
We started to create it in August 19, but we had some troubles with the development and we stopped it for a while. We're trying to finish at least a demo for it, and we found that this jam would be an excellent fuel to us to finish the demo.
Here is a video of a gameplay of the game:
The game was created for a low resolution jam, which we had to create a game with a resolution of 64x64. After that jam, we decided to increase the resolution to 128x128.
There are still some bugs to solve, and other things like SFXs, music and level design to take care of. This Jam is really helping us moving foward, and we're very grateful.
Thanks, and good luck to everyone who is still developing! /o/
