Neat game. I believe you could have given it a more eery vibe by having darker music, I think it would fit more with the theme of escaping darkness and such.

Good game, the animations are great and the gameplay flows very nicely. Just a couple of issues:

  • The colors are too bright so it's not so easy to distinguish between the danger blocks and the teleportation ones
  • Music is cool, but it doesn't really fit this style of game. I believe having "high octane" music that is fast and gives tension would be better

The collisions worked, but often I'd collide without actually touching the sprite of the car. It seems like the collision box was larger than the actual sprite.

The slow movement of the ship bothers me a bit but it forces the player to use the teleport. Quite good game, just need some tweaks here and there.

I'm in awe. No matter what is the result of the jam, know that you've made the best game here. Congratulations.

Fun game. The teleport mechanic wasn't clear at all at first, but after playing a bit I understood how it was implemented. Sound was way too loud and I believe the collisions are not set up that well.

Congratulations on your second game jam! Game is quite fun to play, really enjoyed playing it. I believe it gets a bit tough quite fast by having to go to the shop every whenever you want to buy more stuff. Being able to buy stuff far from the shop would make things much better. Also, more upgrades for the weapon and further tower upgrades would be great additions that I believe would not be that hard to implement.

The gameplay is good, but I believe the game lacks visual and audio cues of actions taken by the player. I cannot know if the actions I performed have truly been done right and it makes me confused if I actually did them right. Looking at the altitude value I see that I am going higher, but no other element on the screen tells me that. This is the sort of thing that changes a game from being good or ok to being truly great. The radio thing is nice, but I believe these other things were more important and ended up being left out.

Yeah, time is a real constraint in game jams.

Makes sense, since I ran it on a quite high-end PC. But don't worry, it was an interesting play.

Cool game! Managed to get a high score of 403.9 seconds. Took me a bit to get the idea of the game, but after that it good quite easy. I think the cards you use would be way better implemented by using keyboard keys instead of having to click on them.

The movement when you are mid-air is way too fast. This makes getting to the doors you really want extremely hard. It is actually a really simple game that became way too hard by this. Art is quite simple and the theme is well-executed, but this small issue in gameplay compromises all the rest.

Wow, such a fun game! Managed to get 52 points, but I still feel like playing more. Took me a little bit to get the hang of how to play, but after understanding how it all works, I managed to get in a very nice flow. Feels like a very complete game and it's quite amazing that it has been done in such a short time. Congrats!
