Like I already said. The actual way to close without resorting to Task Manager is to go to the pause menu in-game with the ESC key, and then press the Backspace key to close.
This game is made with Gamemaker 8. It is a very ancient program different from the current Gamemaker, so there is no data.win.
Press ESC and Backspace to close.
