Hi TheOldFirebirds! Thanks for checking out this early access version of Souper Showdown.

You can play locally by hosting a game and playing with multiple controllers on the same system. Once in the lobby, any connected controller can press both bumpers simultaneously to join as a character.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi SaberStorm!

The game is built with WebGL, so it should run in any WebGL-enabled browser, regardless of operating system. If you are running Chromium, there may be some flags to change in the settings to enable WebGL.

Thanks very much for playing!

Great feedback, we'll see about adding controller support and an executable build.

Lovely game! You somehow managed to create an atmosphere with text alone, and the humour is a great touch. I feel like some music or sound effects for actions could help with the immersion.

Loved it!

Amazing.

Congrats on placing first in your first game jam!! 🎉🎉

Well deserved 🥇

Coffeepot!

Thanks so much for all this great feedback and for your time checking it out. These are great ideas! If I'm honest, I was feeling very pressed for time and tried to get my minimum-viable product done, and then improved it in the ways I felt would have the biggest impact on gameplay. Needless to say, there's lots of work to be done 😁

I'm glad you enjoyed the game, and again, thanks so much for taking the time to write a detailed review. It means a lot ❤️

Hey Stefan!

Thanks so much for playing and your kind comments! I'm glad you enjoyed it 🙂

Hey Peu-Tsuâ!

Thanks so much for checking it out! For sure, recipes are something I'd like to add so it's not as difficult to get started.

Thanks for your comment!

Awesome game. Great to just chill and practice shootin' skills! Really loved it 🎯

Cool concept, would be really great with some sound effects and music! I think it has potential

Awesome simple racer! I love the pixelated look and the drift particles. Would be great to see more maps!! Great job

Really cool concept for controls! I like how you can type out a number and wait to press enter. This is great practice for using a numpad, too 😅

Very original game, I like the concept of the island 'shifting' as time goes on. The map was somewhat useful but kept me on my toes whenever things moved around. Found walking a bit slow / the map too big, but really enjoyed it overall! Great job!

Very nice game! I love the watermelon physics, feels 'chunky' 👍Great job and nice use of the 'rotation' theme! Also worked on Chrome no problem 🙃

Hi Derin!

Thanks very much for playing and for your feedback, it means a lot 🙂

Thanks for your comment anyways and for checking it out! 🙂

Sooo good. Simple, hilarious, and polished. Love the vibrations as you reach supersonic

LostDutchman!

Thanks so much for checking out my game! I'm glad you found the frantic-ness fun! 😁

Thanks for your feedback, a tutorial will be the first update going into the game.

Hey edevjogos,

Thanks so much for playing! I understand the controls weren't communicated well, I definitely should add a tutorial and recipe popup.

I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for your feedback 🙂

Thanks very much Rohten!

Overcooked was a big inspiration! For sure, I am considering other control schemes based on how many people have asked 🙂

I like your idea of controls over the head of characters!

Thanks again for your feedback and for checking it out!

Thanks so much, Szym! ❤️

You're right, I guess I didn't really consider people playing the game after submitting and didn't think about those without controllers...

Great idea for an order queue, might get on that 🙃

Thanks again for playing and your review!

Very fun! Beat the game with just the right amount of frustration. Nice play on the 'rotation' theme.

Finished in 20 seconds! Super fun little game. I love the sfx, especially booting the grubs into infinity and beyond. Nice polish. love it :)

Cool game idea! The music and graphics are nice, but gameplay was a bit difficult. I crashed into a tree and couldn't reverse... also turning is very snappy. Other than that it was really fun to drive around after checkpoints

Reall neat concept and great use of the 'rotation' theme! Love the music and art style, too

Got to 340. A nice simple game! It would be nice to have it get harder or change somehow over time, as it gets a bit repetitive. Goes well with the 'rotation' theme. I like how the background and player change each game.

Wohoo! Go for it! I think it has lots of potential! Totally makes sense about having it shorter for the jam, although I think people still would have played to 100 - it was that good 😁

Thanks for playing and for your feedback! Sorry about the lack of instructions...

Sorry to hear about the lag, too. I suppose some graphics options would be better.

Hi!

Thanks for trying anyways, haha. Yeah only gamepad, I figured it made more sense to have the controls mapped to the location of the chefs.
