I got the Neutral Entry Ending. The premise is very cool, and while I understand time constraints, the story skeleton kicked in right as the action began to pick up!!! I'd love to see you expand on the story with these characters (i love doomed yuri!!!), keep it up!
I'm wondering if the two knew about each other's monstrous forms beforehand, and if not, how they'll react to each other? There's a lot to explore with this classic werewolf/vampire backdrop, and I'm excited to see where you go with it.
I like how the story is told through a series of diary entries, it's a fun way to frame the narrative, and the background texture adds to that concept quite well.
I got very excited when I realized we were playing as a cat!! I love the descriptions given from the cat's perspective (the cat's favorite laser pointer being even more appreciated by the end of the story is a cute touch!) and I enjoy the premise of being a small creature exploring a large, complex world.
I did end up repeating some choices by accident, and I think that you could give players more context for some of the actions they take, as I found myself arbitrarily making decisions because it was a little unclear where the narrative was taking me.
Overall, I enjoyed this! Good job! :D
It's a little hard to tell what I'm supposed to be doing during this game. The Advisor told me to sleep, but I couldn't figure out how to (clicking the bed didn't work). I ended up walking around the town, and I enjoyed talking with the NPCs!
I think you guys have a really good basis for the game, and a bit more direction for the player would be great! Good job. :D
Silly game, I like the premise! The pixel art is also quite nice. I love all the brainrot memes you included, deeply unserious.
When the game ends, I wish there was a way to easily close out of the game or restart it to try for other endings. I got three endings, one where the monster killed me after flirting, one where it killed me after attacking it, and after I talked to Argus and went back to my room, the game kinda just. Stopped.
This is my first time playing one of your Dreamwalkers game, and I like the game's setting! The way that everyone just seems to accept the absurd nature of their environment is nice. The visuals are lovely, and the music does a good job at setting the tone for the game. The other characters seem lovely, too, and I suppose I'd have to play the other games to get a full introduction to each character?
I did have trouble keep track of who the narrative was following. I start out as Shuteye, but the perspective seems to suddenly change to that of another character after I finish talking to Mother Moth, and then presumably switches back to Shuteye's perspective at some point. I love a perspective change in a story, so I'm wondering if there's a way to make these shifts a bit more apparent?
Overall, good job!
I like what you have here! The atmosphere is very well established by the music, visuals, and voice acting (love the voice acting sm btw!!) I got most of the endings and FINALLY got one of the true ends. There's a lot to see in such a short game, and I can't think of much else I'd like to see done differently. Very well done!
I love a detective story, and I love a tortured main character who has to work through his own past! Your descriptions are well written, and I really enjoyed these lines: "The neon underbelly of Mumbai is where dreams go to die and secrets go to fester. You've got a snitch, goes by the name of Chhota. He's a weasel, but he's your weasel, and tonight you need his particular breed of gutter wisdom. " I think you do a very good job at quickly setting tone and familiarizing the player with your world and characters. One thing I'd recommend is, if you have the time, go more in depth on the events of the investigation; I feel as though after I talk to Rosie, the pace of the story picks up a lot, and I would like to see the main character go through the motions of doing things like collecting evidence or infiltrating the secret gathering. I played through the game twice and got favorable endings, and I like that you give the detective a chance to heal with his wife. Overall, pretty good!!
