No. I was scared it was going to delete everything, but it didn't. It remembered my name and stats.

Yeah that's what I tried a few minutes ago and it worked. If you click on "my library" in the upper right corner, you'll see the game and a download button. All you have to do is delete your current game and download it again.

Guys, to play the updated version, delete your current files first. Then, go to your library and download the game again. Extract the files, and you'll have the newest version of the game uploaded. That's what I just did and it works. 

Edit: you don't have to buy the game again. It's in your library forever. You just have to download it again.
