Of course! Still very much a work in progress, but the automated version of this utilizes the same system. Ideally, though I’d like to start upgrading it with some grammar (a method of PCG) to make the room structures themselves feel a bit more alive. All of that after adding in a handful of room structure templates that and furnishing generation to the rooms as well to make them a bit more lively of course.

All of that is down the pipelines though, as it stands right now, here is the system as it exists now:

Thanks a ton! I’m working on improving this game and having constructive feedback is super helpful. Two of the core things that I am looking to work on is a significant combat/movement overhaul to make the game feel more fluid (as well as some significant upgrades to the procedural system that is the dungeon, but that is just a particular area of personal interest).

Thanks a ton for playing!

Interesting game, love the unique mechanics, seems the deck shuffling to reset your cards seems to glitch. But the game plays well overall

This has been one of my favorites, awesome game. I think there should be a bit more scaling up of difficulty once you get past 100, maybe some more wind speed and jazz. Otherwise, super great

It needs a bit more work, with a few more levels there would be more to work with and review

This was a fun battle for, great balance of challenge but, I think that it could definitely use audio and the ability for users to restart on death.

This is a good game that ran well, though, I think the biggest detractor for me was that the game is most easily beaten by standing still and pressing F. Though I think it is a great start

This is a super interesting and exciting game, absolutely loved it. the audio wasn’t particularly standout. You did an awesome job :)

I didn’t encounter any game-breaking glitches and I enjoyed the basics of gameplay, but I think that the level design needs to be a bit more directive for the player. Thanks for sharing!

This is a good game, it is well put together and cohesive, but didn’t really bring anything new to the 2d sidescrolling platform experience. The audio and mechanics were good, but not standout. For a 5 day jam, I think this game really went well, it doesn’t have any bugs and it is enjoyable to play :)

A couple of the other participants and I are getting together on the discord voice channels and are going to play through some of the games together, I wanted to invite everyone else to join us if you are interested. Thanks for jamming with me guys, I had a blast!

Hey, forgive me for maybe doing this in the wrong spot, but I don’t know if we are supposed to justify our use of the theme platform or not, so I figured I would attend to it here. I didn’t interpret platform to be the genre, but instead, I thought of it as “the basis on which the rest of the game is built”.

My game is procedurally generated, all from the starting room, literally, built on that as a platform. Thanks a ton, everyone for giving this a look!

(I also realize that because there is no Mac/WebGL version, this may be limiting to some developers, so I attached a youtube video of me running through the game relatively quickly, I hope that helps!)

Hey everyone, wanted to introduce myself. My name is Mason Bates, I am a Unity Game Developer. I primarily work as a game designer and C# programmer. I have 1 Game Jam under my belt (Brackeys 2020.2), where I worked with a team to produce A’K’Bal, please feel free to check it out if you want.

I wanted to do another game jam to see if I could make something on my lonesome in a 7-day timeframe. I’m a Graduate student with experience in Procedural generation, so was likely going to see if I can do something with that, but it’ll obviously depend on the theme :p.

Anywho, just wanted to introduce myself and let everyone know I was looking forward to jamming with them all :)

Enjoyed my playthrough! Nice game, looking forward to more
