If you sent Kerfur to fix the servers, it's probably stuck somewhere. Try to find it on the radar. It's marked with a green or blue dot, if I'm not mistaken.

А вообще я решил на всякий случай оставить начальные настройки которые уже стояли после установки. Не лагает - уже хорошо. Хотя иногда все же фпс просаживается по необъяснимым причинам, особенно в пределах базы. Тараканов вроде бы нигде нет, да и свет тоже стараюсь включать только когда нужно, но игра видимо и без того лагает иногда. Впрочем если учесть что игра все еще пре-альфа, то жаловаться не на что  :)

I'm sure the first bug you pointed out is more of an easter egg than a bug. There are also other events in the game that cause your game to crash.

As for the third bug, everything is fine. You don't need to retrieve garbage bags. Just pick up a roll of garbage bags and click on the pile of garbage. The roll of bags is a more practical alternative to the regular bags, although the roll does cost a bit more. It's easier to keep a roll of bags in your inventory and you can also see how many bags are left if you left-click on an empty spot.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was talking about. Especially when you're trying to figure out how to play and start exploring the area, the days go by pretty fast.
I remember when I first started playing, it took me an entire in-game week to clear the base of small debris, trash piles and dirt stains. Maybe if I had noticed the day speed setting a little earlier, I wouldn't have missed so many days, lol

And then you slowly turn around to see a group of mannequins standing right behind you XD

First of all I want to say that even though the game is still in early access, it already feels amazing. It has so many features, easter eggs, events, a great story, and everything else that makes it enjoyable. However as a new player who was just starting to figure things out, I found the fast passage of time during the day a bit challenging.

For daily tasks I needed to send a few disks with signals and gather hash codes from specific satellites. Since I was still learning how to play and what I had to do, I physically couldn't complete all the tasks before the day ended. So, after about two in-game weeks I managed to complete the daily task only three times.

I also didn't realize at first that I needed to repair satellite servers to speed up signal processing and downloading. If I had to both complete the daily task and visit every satellite with broken servers, it took way too much time. And on top of that I had to keep track of food, stamina, and fuel for the ATV.

Because the days passed so quickly, I ended up missing some events as well. Thankfully, I found the "Day Length" option in the "Experimental" settings, which allowed me to make the days longer. This was super helpful, and I would like to ask the developers to keep this feature in the game for the final release. It would be great for players to adjust the day length to suit their own pace and play comfortably.


But overall I don't have any complaints about the game. I'm looking forward to the game's release. This is one of those games that I'm ready to buy even without waiting for discounts. Thank you so much for this wonderful game dear developers, and also Happy Holidays! 🎄

Так это не пустой файл, это архив в котором находится сама игра. Тебе нужно скачать архиватор 7 zip, а потом распаковать этот архив в какую-нибудь удобную папку. Если не знаешь как распаковать архив, можешь поискать на ютубе, там полно гайдов. После распаковки у тебя должно появиться в твоей папке 4 файла: Engine, VotV, Manifest_NonUFSFiles_Win64, и VotV.exe. Клацай на последний чтобы запустить игру. Для удобства можешь сделать ярлык файла exe и перетащить его на рабочий стол чтобы каждый раз не искать папку с игрой.

I meant I would like to remove those black bars completely, if there is such a way. 😄
I'm glad they don't appear during gameplay, but only in the menu. But they still look a little weird, that's why I was asking.
I saw that there's a “Disable borders” in the settings. I tried turning it on and off, but in any case nothing changed and the borders were still there.

Hi VotV community! I'm new to this game and started playing just recently, so I'd like to ask you a few questions.

1. Black bars in the menu: When I open the game, there are black bars on the screen around the main menu — at the sides, the top, and the bottom. It looks like large black rectangles framing the menu. Interestingly, these black bars don’t appear during gameplay, for example, when I enter the tutorial. However, they return if I press ESC and open the pause menu during the game. I’m not sure if this is intentional, a bug, or something related to my setup. I’ve attached screenshots for reference:




2. Graphics settings advice: The game offers a lot of graphics options, but there are no descriptions for them, so I’m not sure what some of the options do. Unlike other games, VotV doesn't give an explanation of what each setting affects. The only thing I’ve changed so far is enabling V-Sync. I'm trying to balance performance and graphics to have a good looking game while not having lags or losing fps. At the moment the game seems to work quite well in terms of performance and graphics, so now I'm thinking which settings should be adjusted, and which are better left unchanged. Could you please share some advice on what settings I should adjust or explain what some options mean? I’ve included screenshots of my graphics settings and my laptop specs below:

Привет сообщество VotV! Я начал играть совсем недавно, поэтому хотел задать вам несколько вопросов.
Заранее благодарю за помощь!

1. Черные полосы в меню: Когда я открываю игру, на экране появляются чёрные полосы — по бокам, сверху и снизу. Они выглядят как большие чёрные прямоугольники, которые обрамляют меню. При этом во время самой игры (например, в туториале) этих полос нет. Но они снова появляются, если нажать ESC и открыть меню паузы. Не уверен задумано ли это так, это баг, или же что-то не так с моими настройками. Вот скрины для лучшего понимания:




2. Вопрос по настройкам графики: В игре есть много настроек графики, но к ним нет описаний, поэтому я не совсем понимаю что делают некоторые из них. Единственное что я изменил — включил вертикальную синхронизацию (V-Sync). Я пытаюсь сбалансировать производительность и графику, чтобы иметь хороший вид игры и чтобы в то же время не было лагов и не терялось фпс. На данный момент игра вроде бы работает вполне нормально в плане производительности и графики, поэтому я сейчас думаю какие настройки стоит повысить, а какие лучше оставить как есть. Можете пожалуйста дать советы, какие настройки лучше изменить  или объяснить за что отвечают некоторые из них?  Ниже скрины текущих настроек игры и характеристики моего ноутбука:
