The art and animations are very nice, the platforming/level design aswell, and the sounds and music leave a good impression,  however on the game design side of things the game falls a bit short, the only thing you do is turn on lights, and the snake is a bit wierd, sometimes it seems to just go straight for me and other it just zig zags around, it can come from pretty much any direction and often times its already to late for you to reach a light source. The way the music just cuts abruptly is also off putting.

The game would go a lot better with the theme if the scenery was pitch black and you would carry a torch that would loose range after a certain period of time, there's a another game in the jam which went with that approach, turn on the light. While that game doesn't go much along with the theme either imo, at least gameplay wise I found it more fun.

And if that's not your cup of tea and then some other gameplay element would have made the game more rich and made a big difference.

Its a pretty smooth and chill game, but could use  something extra to keep me in the game, like collecting something else that is optional along the way which gives extra points, that way you can choose to not take the optimal path but you also get rewarded.  The music is pretty cool, crashing, going at high speeds and drifting is where I had the most fun XD

Props for the hard work :D

Awesome I was waiting for this to try your game again :D

Appreciate your feedback !!!  We thought the same way, keeping the in-games 0 visibility, while being a bold decision we think makes it stand out more aswell, and embraces the theme.

Thank you, we recommend using the cheats if you are having some trouble finishing the game since we didnt have time to properly balance the amount of bullets and proper placement of the runes.  :D

Thank you for your input ^_^
One of the runes is fairly hidden and we plan to tweak it so its easier to spot its near one of the crystals close to the mine shaft

Thank you for the feedback ^^
Yes the prompt on the body is because we had a cutscene which is where you find the gun, sadly we had to remove it last minute due to it bugging the equipping of the gun.

Thank you ♥

We have had a good amount of playtesters  and that is not one of the complaints we've had, we give the hint as to the fact you can shoot the gun to see, as i said  other people tried the game and even finished it.

We also included cheats so everyone can finish it.... just use those and use the gun more. The theme of the jam is darkness adding a spotlight/flashlight would make it generic, there would be nothing to do in the game aside from following lights shooting enemies and runes, this way navigating and finding your way is also part of the experience.

I have noticed most games of the jam it is merely dark and you can still see which in my opinion makes it pointless, decreased visibility doesn't work, visibility is something you either have or you don't, according to range.

The crystals were supposed to give out a bit more light you are correct there. Try the game again and actually use the gun since its the main mechanic.

Ok so we thought we fixed it turns out its still there :( were working on it.

Cheers, we already fixed it were pushing a new build rn

that swearing ear rape kinda got me ngl, good job with the sounds, altough options to tone it down would be nice. Also a sensitivity option i had a hard time with the game cause of it.

There isn't much darkness in your game though misses the theme  a bit.

Keep up the hard work fellas.

You still have a day to fix some things, namely the sound compeletly breaking once you "die"
Secondly you have no reason to turn on the flashlight since you can still see without the flashlight
And thirdly OMG THE KNOCKING IS ANNOYING, there is too much knocking you should tone it down a bit in my opinion or make it actually related to having the flashlight on, cause i was playing with it off and it was just constant and i didnt feel any danger at all, it was just annoying.
4th The movement is very slidy

Eitherway props on working on this for the week especially solo, keep up the hard work.

those aren’t exactly related, you can makes game without scripting…

You posted a scene instead of a build

Thank you for you contribution and testing! :D

Thank you for your time were happy you enjoyed! :D

Thanks alot! :) Yes unfortunately we didnt have anytime for polish :/ nor balancing, our main focus was to get as many things as possible to "work" so you could at least get some feel of the concept of the game. Its also served as a learning experience to all of us, which will certainly make things more organized and faster in the future :D

Use the right mouse button to move the camera around, and use left mouse button to select things on the screen and place them

Thanks for the feedback ! :D
