Out of curiosity to see if I somehow missed the conversation about pricing I went back and read all the Newsletters and dev logs for the last 15 months.  There was talk about patron tier and character pricing but only 1 mention in a newsletter for April about charging for chapter 10 and they wanted to get the word out about it, but there was no mention after that until now. Maybe it was talked about on other platforms but nothing on Itch.

Well you can feel however you like, doesn't matter to me. If I had seen them mention anything about charging, obviously I wouldn't have had the reaction I got. I read every update and I did not see it. It might have been talked about before I started or I just missed it all together. But I know it wasn't mentioned several times.  So it might not be a surprise to you, but it was for me. And yes, if you look at from somebody else's point of view who had no knowledge of the planned pricing, it does look like a bait and switch. Either way, I still love the stories and wholly support the creators in challenging the stigma. I just wish I'd have known at the beginning so I wouldn't have invested so much time in it. 

I'm a little put off by the payment requirement. I absolutely love this story and eagerly await each update, I have several games going for each love interest. It's safe to say I'm hooked. I've invested a lot of time in this game only to be told I have to pay to see the ending. That's a really crappy thing to do. Unfortunately, myself and many others are not in the position to pay for it. One of the reasons I chose and followed this game closely is because it was free. I completely understand the creators point of view about wanting to be paid for their time and effort. And I do believe in challenging the stigma of indie games but to do it towards the end of a game while so many people are invested in this story but unable to afford it is a huge let down. While unintentional, this has turned into a bait and switch move. You get us hooked on free but withhold the final piece unless we give you money. It just doesn't seem right but is well within the creators rights to do so. What is missing from the post is how much they are charging. Will it still be what the person is able to afford or is this like a Patreon thing where its a monthly subscription. Do we have to pay for chapter 9 and 10 separately or can we wait until the final chapter and pay once for the whole game? More information is needed. I'm just really disappointed.     

Got it, I just joined the discord server. I don't know Discord very well so it might take me a little while to figure it all out. Oh, and I've never gone down a rabbit hole I didn't enjoy, lol

The headmasters wife has a ton of potential. A loving mother role might be a bit of a stretch in the traditional sense. But as a Dom, there's a certain type of love and affection that is shared between a Dom and her Sub. It's a role that goes beyond normalcy and can be heeling or therapeutic for both parties. It's almost always misunderstood and blurs the lines on sexual relationships.    

I better understand the complications on trying to create a walk-through. It sounds like a lot of trouble. The cheat-sheet idea should work out fine.   

As for Ron, Since his life is a mess, I could see him idolize the wife and want to be like her because of how strong and confident she is. Ron's horrible experience from the catholic school and the lack of love, understanding and support from his parents would naturally leave Ron seeking some sort of paternal figure that accepts him as he is. It almost seems like a perfect fit. But that's assuming you don't already have plans for Ron's development. Seriously though, seeing Ron dressed up like a mini Dom would be hilariously cute and hot at the same time. Either way, I can't wait to see how this story unfolds.  

I've been involved in the BDSM community for over 20 years and I love studying people to see what influences the actions they take. I like to see what's makes them tic and what drives them to seek unspoken pleasure behind closed doors. I have witnessed and learned so much. It's very interesting how some people crave an experience that is in direct contrast to their normal everyday day life. I'd give examples but I'm sure you already know a thing or two about it. =)

I know your projects have kept you very busy and I imagine it's becoming increasingly difficult to keep coming up with new situations and storylines to explore. I'm sure you've been offered lots of help already, but you're ever in need for ideas or hot situations/scenes or just need to bounce ideas, I'd be happy to share my thoughts on a huge variety sexual situations. You'll find I have a lot of experience when it comes to Boys and BDSM. 

I certainly understand being invested in a story and the impatience of waiting for an update but I also know that life happens whether you want it to or not. I just don't like seeing negativity directed at or against someone who's sharing so much without requiring anything in return. I just wanted to leave a message of support so you know that your work is valued and highly appreciated. I just wasn't expecting and couldn't understand why anyone could possibly have an issue with that. 

Thanks for the info on the paths, I see that I missed a few fun situations to get into. I'm looking forward to the basement milking scene. I have several saves going and one for each love interest. I also have saves going for if I want to play like a total slut or the wounded boy being taken advantage of by the headmaster. There are so many ways to play and it's impressive how you can keep them intertwined and still make sense. 

I can't wait to see the next update with the interview, I want to see the headmaster squirm his way out of it and maybe face the wrath of his wife. I know I shouldn't but I love her character and how he's afraid of her. Her mere presence commands immediate respect and fear. 

It would be really hot and fun to see a scene where the wife forces Julian, Ron, and the MC to humiliate the headmaster as punishment for allowing the gym and chastity situation to get out of hand potentially leading to an investigation and a lot of unwanted attention. I'm sure the boys would love to take out their frustration on the headmaster. Maybe Julian in his puppy gear can hike up his leg and piss all over him. lol 

It would also be very interesting to see the wife take a liking to Ron and teach him how to command respect and watch a close bond form between them. He could see her as a mother figure willing to accept all the support, love, and attention he'd never gotten from his own mother. She could view Ron as a protege and teach him what it means to be a Dom and to never be walked on all over again. Just think of all the sex scenes you could have fun with if Ron were being directed to dominate Julian and the MC.     

You mentioned from a business perspective, about people missing out on content and assuming it's just a short update. I have an idea that would solve the issue but of course, it means more work, lol. 

Some games have a map or walk-through that provides players with the pathways to access all of your content. Similar to the walkthrough that SpaceCorpsXXX has. It's very easy to follow. 

Have you thought of or considered this idea? 

I know you write it out for everyone but sometimes seeing a map with all the options is easier to follow. It might also increase gameplay. 

I have about as much free time as you do, yet I don't go around being a jerk to the creators with several negative comments. All I'm saying is, respect the creator and his work or move on to completed projects to avoid the stress it seems to cause you. Otherwise, you just wallow in misery and have a really sad life. 

Just a tip: I got tired of waiting for an update so I downloaded around 17 more visual novels. The updates come out at different times, which always leaves something new for me to enjoy. I also play the games from every route and pathway possible. I'm not telling you to do that, but it's a good way to keep yourself entertained while waiting.

I can see that you're commenting from a new account that's only been active for 3 days. Judging by all your negative comments to anything remotely positive, I'm assuming you were banned for being an entitled a* *hole. 

I'm curious why you feel like it's your right to control when the creator releases updates. 

Have you ever considered any of the following reasons:

1. The creator might be working on this project with little to no help or completely by himself.

2. Maybe he's going through a tough time in his life and can't fully dedicate his time solely to this project.

3. Maybe the creator has a full-time job and can't devote every waking moment to pleasing people like you.   

4. Maybe the creator has a life and deserves to live it. 

5. Maybe the creator is taking care of children or family members and is mentally drained. 

6. Maybe the creator isn't into it anymore because of negative comments like yours.

7. Maybe the creator is tired of people acting like his boss over the work and content that he creates on his own.

8. Maybe the creator needed time to recharge his creativity so he could give his best work.

9. Maybe the creator was sick and not feeling well.

10. And for my last reason, Maybe the creator was busy with his 2 other projects. One just had a massive update and the other is a newly released Demo.  

I'm willing to bet it's reason #10.

I have no doubt you'll have a huge issue with my response and I honestly don't care. The fact is, you don't create or assist with these updates and have no right to criticize the creator on the timeline to release updates. 

I don't think you realize how much time, effort, and creativity goes into making a visual novel. Especially one with multiple paths to follow. It's complicated work that takes a lot of time to make it come together. I'd really like to see you try creating one. I'm guessing your impatience would cause you to fail miserably.  

What are you hoping to accomplish with your negative comments? 

Do you think it'll make the creator bow down to serve your needs?

Do you think it'll push them to work faster?

Do you think attacking anyone with something positive to say makes you the bigger person?

Do you really think your words will influence anyone to jump on your negative bandwagon? 

And lastly, do you really think your words influenced the update to come out any faster? 

It's cool that you like the work the creator does but I highly suggest that if you don't want to wait on updates, then download novels that are already completed. Or maybe create your own visual novel and leave people alone. Maybe you'll be a happier person and stop bullying others. Stop being a jerk.   

I know it takes a lot of time and effort to create on ongoing story, especially one with multiple paths to follow. And the fact that you create this story plus a few others makes you a very busy person. Plus you make it available for those who cannot afford to pay, you're very generous and awesome for doing that. The stories you create and willingly share lets us escape realty for a little while. So if an update takes a little while, then so be it! I appreciate the work you do and grateful you share it. I'll happily wait until it ready.

WOW!!, where to begin. An honest review. (some spoilers)

Straight!? has several descriptions but I think the most accurate one is "emotional rollercoaster" and even that one is an understatement! 

The story pulls you into a world that anyone of any age can relate to. It allows you to play on the naughty side but gives you the option to rewind and make different choices. Either way, by the end of the story you'll find the choices you make will affect the main characters in a profound way just as they would in real life. 

 It is so well written and intricately detailed that you find yourself connecting and feeling all the emotions as if they were your own. You make choices that guide Zach while completely understanding his thought process and struggles. You'll see him and Braden slowly realize their fears, insecurities and the inner torture it causes them and how it affects them to their very core. They explore unknown feelings and question themselves along the way as they begin to fall in love without knowing or realizing it and it slowly tears them apart. Much like real life it is a messy cluster of happiness, sorrow, self hatred, self understanding, self realization and finally self acceptance. 

This story goes far beyond the standard "Gay guy falls for questioning straight guy" storyline. You'll get to see what its like from both Zach and Braden's story and how they internally navigate and rationalize this messy thing called life. 

The story also involves abuse and forgiveness on a level that will shock you with disbelief. I won't describe it because its a major spoiler but it will have you understanding what you think is a small harmless action can drive someone to make cold and calculated decisions. It shows you that the most innocent person only allows you to see what they want you to see. The hidden manipulation for a "controlled experiment" is truly impressive. The hidden guilt and betrayal they both feel afterward show how they cope with their feelings and how it prevented self healing and growing stronger together. They ultimately understand and forgive each other. 

Along the way you'll meet other characters that you can't help but truly appreciate and come to love. Especially Max (aka Ash), he starts off very annoying but his character gives you a very deceiving impression of who he is. The old phrase "never judge a book by its cover" can strongly be applied here. He will keep you laughing and is probably the weirdest and funniest person in the story. He's great at masterminding situations, finding loop holes and truly cares about the people he loves. He's far from the impulsive idiot he projects himself to be. Nothing can stop him when he has a plan in motion. Everyone should have a friend like him. 

In addition to learning about the 2 main characters in great detail you also delve into the supporting characters and learn all about them and their troubles. You'll learn how they feel and cope and ultimately deal with life.

Over the course of the story there's plenty of hot explicit scenes to help guide and entertaining situations to have fun with. Not only do you feel all the feels but you also learn a lot about how peoples minds work, what leads people into making decisions and also how those decisions can shape and mold them into the person they are. It also shows what happens to someone without any support or someone to confide in. You can't help but to fall in love with the characters and be completely invested in their well being and seeing what's in store for them. 

Some scenes are heart wrenching to watch and will have you crying. There's so much drama with twist and turns and revelations that I couldn't keep up with it. I found myself enthralled and on the edge of my seat that everything around me disappears and my only focus is hoping Zach and Braden can find a happy ending. Just when you think it's over for them and you're left crying, you get a glimpse of hope.

I highly recommend this story but be warned you will hurt, cry, be shocked and be overwhelmed with a wide range of emotions. It's a complex yet relatable story and superbly written. It might seem to drag on at some points but you must keep reading, everything you read will teach you so much about yourself and other people you might not understand and how offering a little support can change someone's life. 

Thank you to the creator/s and all involved for this story. You've essentially created a blue print to teach people how to understand a variety of things and provide support for others while allowing people who identify with Zach and Braden to understand and themselves and lessen the guilt and torment they feel. 

This is truly an impressive and entertaining story!! 

Do all three. Create save points to have multiple storylines going at the same time. Trust me, it's worth it. You'll be able to learn everything about all the characters.

Thank you so much for the info, I'm glad I wont have to wait too long to continue Connors journey. I'm excited to learn what's in store for him. You have a talent in making every situation very relatable and bringing the more passionate and erotic scenes come across like an obtainable fantasy. It's truly realistic and dare I say, incredibly hot.

This is the first Sim story game I've played and I'm totally blown away. While I'm unable to afford paying to receive the new updates, I certainly appreciate the time and hard work you've put into it and I'll happily wait until you decide to make the new update free. The connection to the characters is weirdly comforting and I find myself thinking of them as real people that I only want to see become happy. You've done an awesome job with the character arcs and being able to start and save several story lines is what I love the most. Thank you for giving everyone the chance to experience Conner's world.
