Despite its first impression with junky visuals, Baldventure has that "one more game" feel that makes it fun enough to explore, break and complete. It's short, simple gameplay-wise and the ending is totally worth it. You could say making this game was quite a... ballsy move.

If you dare to play it on Linux, the easiest way is to add the game as a "Non-steam Game" with forced compatibility through Proton 6.3.

Love it! You've nailed the aesthetics and the feel of the era. As GamePasta have pointed out, the escape sequence got a little too hard too fast. There is a noticeable delay before you can shoot, which leaves you almost certain to be hit in most cases. Other than that, great work!

Don't worry, I totally get the jokes and your speed run video was a fun watch :) Thank you again for providing the feedback.

Thank you for your feedback! Many of the glitches shown in the first video were spotted by us too late before the jam ended and would have to be fixed in the future. Unfortunately, the enemies were designed way after the environment was done, hence why they get stuck here and there. Regards, MB.

Hello and thank you for playing our game! I'm sorry for the frustration during your play trough. We haven't properly communicated the way the reloading mechanics work, and it is our fault. If you wish to give it another go, please read the introduction screen's text carefully. Regards, MB.

Oh now I got It. Well there is two ways you can dodge projectiles.

1. By using reactor (Z key) to escape close ones.

2. Wait before boss atacks and when it does move in any direction where projectiles will not reach you. After that you'll have some time to sneak behind his back and hit it.

Yes sometimes boss stays on place for a longer time than it should be. It has to do with the way he's programmed. He has two basic states of behavior: move & stand.  And these states are randomly applied via timer. So it can easily recieve stand > stand > stand command.

Wish you luck :)

Thanks. Didn't quite understand what you wrote about boss. It does not receive damage in front. Only in the back.

The music caught me off guard :D

Would've been nice to have score and some simple enemies.

Thanks for feedback. I will replace text in the UI to icons to make it more clear. As for now I can give explanations on what the text means.

O2 is you oxygen. It goes away and keeps you moving. Picking up O2 ballons and bubbles will refil it.

RE is Reactor. Gives you tmporary speed increase and is very usefull against final boss.

RC and MI are counters for Rockets and Mines.

There is an upgrade that increases your speed a little. Just above unbearable I hope. It's on a main path so you won't miss it.

Great, thanks!

After seeing some entries I can say that the theme is very narrow. It's not a bad thing dont get me wrong. It's the reason why I entered this jam.

Clear theme gives you time for research on same-themed games, thier art and execution before jam and not while it running.

You can however broaden the theme into 'Underwater Themed Games' (dont forget to give people some examples of what types of games they can do) or something similiar because right now people more or less gravitate towards the same idea of an adventure/mini-game when they think of submarines.

As for time constrains, a week is perfectly fine. Thanks for the jam. :)

Is there only 64-bit version available?

Thanks joel127!

I will focus on tutorial right after resolution fix then. As for gaining more money/energy you basicly should capture stars and extract planets (killing enemies gives small reward too). And all of the ways give equally slow energy increase so unless you capture/extract/kill more you wont get much.

That way I'm trying to get player move and take actions constantly (at least in the first 10 minutes or so when you only starting to taking control of galaxy) rather than just sitting on most profitable planet or generator.

Constellations v.0.01. Psychics class ships yet to be added. In fact there's alot to be added in future :)
