I thought I had, but it was a .rar file and my work computer didn't have 7-zip or winrar. I installed it and have now played and rated your game!

I love these stacking games! This would be great on mobile. More sounds and maybe some background music would be nice. Overall a solid submission!

If you play and rate my game, I will play and rate yours, if I have not already! It is getting down to the last hours and my game needs more ratings, please! Thank you everyone!

Very neat game you have created! I love the art, sounds, and gameplay! Check out my game if you have not already: https://itch.io/jam/scorejam18/rate/1510809

Thank you!

Great game! Awesome you did this in about a day, amazing work!

This is awesome and would be great on console or add gamepad support!

I like the game a lot, but really hate the jump button. I can not jump with w to save my life apparently. Lol. I think you should have spacebar as an alternative, so the user can choose.

Gotcha, I have noticed that sometimes they don't match up as well. I will add names for sure! Thanks!

I did not read the instructions and just jumped in. At first, I couldn't figure out how to move the planets without the on screen buttons. Also, the on screen buttons move the planets really slow. Then I figured it out with the arrow keys. I would also like to move them with A and D. Then I was wondering what I needed to collect and what to avoid. After restarting once or twice, it was not hard to understand. The instructions on your itch page are clear, I just didn't see them. I would suggest putting where you enter your nickname on the main menu and maybe adding options for volume level or on/off. Hope this helps!

Great game, once I figured out how to keep going. It is difficult, but fun and would be great on a mobile device!

This was fun, once I figured out what was going on! Great use of theme and fun gameplay!

Sounds like a plan! https://itch.io/jam/scorejam18/rate/1510809

Get that Hi-Score!

Thanks for the feedback! What platform did you play it on? The scoreboard works in WebGL for me.

Awesome, feedback! Thank you so much for playing and giving great feedback! I will check out your game when I get home, my work blocks the HTML versions.

Nice! Can anyone beat that score!?! The green wall is neutral, you can be north or south, but you must hit it with an object to break it. I did notice there is a bug, where I forgot to re-enable the gameobject when the room loads.

This game was great! Awesome use of theme and gameplay is fun.

I had mouse controls in, but then thinking about the main screen. It only has a keyboard on the desk and you don't necessarily need the mouse to play, so I took it out to make it kind of consistent lol, if that makes sense. Thanks for the feedback, I definitely will be expanding and releasing this on multiple platforms!

Hello everyone,

Please send me your games to rate! I hate going through the games that are broken or are not even related to the jam.

While you are here play my game and give it a rating! https://itch.io/jam/scorejam18/rate/1510809

This is my first ever game jam and I had a blast creating Magnet Destroyer!

Thanks,

Morgan Houston

No, you must create your game blindfolded and without google or any documentation. Good Luck! lol

That would be nice to know who the streamers are. Currently I only know of the game developers rating the games, I do not know any streamers in this jam.

I was thinking that could be misleading lol. Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback and great recommendation! I think that will give the player more time to react when the speed increases.

I believe so, if you could test it and rate/feedback would be appreciated! https://itch.io/jam/scorejam18/rate/1510809

Thank you, I am glad you like it! I used object pooling to make it more performant. Instead of destroying and re-instantiating each room to avoid garbage collection.

Okay, thank you so much! I think, I just have it misconfigured on itch. Yeah, I just didn't set the size on the embed options.

How do you get the Play in Browser to work with Unity. I exported the build as a WebGL and uploaded it and put HTML. It was there but it was really small and couldn't see all of the game window, so I switched it to download. Does anyone have ideas why it was small?

Score of 91

This looks fun, but could not play/download.

I see what you mean now lol. I wish it was finished, very cool concept.

Yea, same. :( The name sounded cool, I was disappointed lol

https://itch.io/jam/scorejam18/rate/1510809 I hope you like it, goodluck! The store page has a how to play copy.

Thank you, I thought it was different. Right, more visuals and sound effects would make it awesome! Love the feedback!

Gotcha. I played another track and now it posted my total time! Thanks! Great work on the game!

It looks like the time to submit was pushed back one hour, to 3:00PM CST. Does anyone know why? I was rating some games then it wouldn't let me anymore lol. Love playing all these games so far!

  • Gameplay: How did the game flow, did it have tight controls, what was your experience while playing
    • Gameplay was fun using the magnetic forces to launch my car forward. Track 5, 6, and Bonus are difficult. I rage quit on track 6. I got all the way to the end and fell off on one of the last turns. I came back and beat it, but now I am stuck on Bonus Track. I think it would be neat if it saved where you fell of and the time keeps going. This way for players that cannot complete the level in one go, can still complete it. Since I can't complete bonus track, I don't get a total time. :(
  • Theme: How well did the entry stick to the theme, did you like their interpretation of it
    • Stuck to the magnetic theme! Unique idea to use with cars for racing.
  • Aesthetics: How well does the game utilize its visual style and how appealing is it
    • The art went well together!
  • Sound: How well do the music and sound contribute to the game
    • Music and sound effects were great!

Not much re-playability, after you complete the tracks.

XD

Awesome! I got it downloaded. I love the art and game is fun to play. It is challenging, maybe too difficult at the beginning. I suggest limiting the amount of characters a user can enter for their name. I saw one name that was overflowing off the leaderboard UI. A way to exit the game, through a menu or button click is always nice to have too. Other than that, game is very neat and fun to play! Great work!

This is my first ever game jam and I am a solo developer using the Unity Engine. I hope you all like my creation, Magnet Destroyer! I love feedback, please, comment your thoughts below!

Game On,

Awesome, I will test it out and try to give feedback shortly. Here is a link to my game: https://mms-gaming-co.itch.io/magnet-destroyer Feedback appreciated!

UPDATE: I'm sorry, I planned to try it out at work, but it is blocked by the network. Is there a build to download?

Thanks,
