Ah, I looked into it and there was a setting that I had no clue existed. I set this page up a very long time ago, so I thought all was the way it should be. So thank you for pointing this out! You should be able to use your card now. Apologies!

Hey! Sorry to hear you're having some trouble.
As far as I know I can't control what kind of payments Itch.io accepts. Maybe this is something you can ask them about? I'll look into it on my end as well.
The game is also available on Steam, and I know you can use your card there.
I'll respond again here if I can figure something out for you.
Sorry to hear you had a tough time with the game's controls. Were you using a controller or mouse & keyboard? It also sounds like you might have missed some important parts of the tutorial, like where it explains what the lights next to the controls represent.
If you ever happen to run into something that doesn't make sense, or if you'd like some tips for what to do next, jump into our Discord server and we can help.

Also, there is an in-game hint system that is mentioned at the end of the tutorial, as well as notes about all of the ship controls if you hover over them. Those notes will explain what each control does, and the hint system can be activated by clicking on the compass bubble.
Hopefully all of that is helpful!
Hm... That is very confusing, Ryan. I'm wondering if there's a part of the tutorial that maybe you are missing or skipping? There's just no way that the game would not show those things to you, unless for some reason you quit in the middle of the tutorial and didn't restart.
Are you on Discord by any chance? I'd love to hear more about the problems you are running into, because at this point they just don't make sense to me. You can click the Discord logo in the game or just go here. I'm @moebial :)
Okay, good to know. I'll see about adding in some full screen options.
As for your controls issues, when is this happening? Is this during the tutorial or afterwards? There are parts of the tutorial where you can only do a certain action before continuing. Also, are you playing the latest version of the game? If you restart and play through the tutorial on the latest update, you should have no problems.

Hey Ryan,
Thanks so much for the message and checking out Aquamarine.
I can happily say that we've fixed the issue with the text, and that update is no live and ready to download. But we don't yet have resolution options, unfortunately. I'll make a note of it on my list of updates and features, and will hopefully be able to have that ready for you by the next update.
Appreciate your patience! And your kind words. :)
I'm so excited to say that my tiny dev team Moebial Studios is nearly finished with our game, and the release date is just around the corner. As we near the finish line, though, my expenses have become unmanageable. There's just a small window of time where I need to work on Aquamarine basically every day, but there won't yet be any money coming in. To help raise some cash, I launched a sale on Itch for two of my solo dev games.
BAD VIBES is a trippy tribute to '90s-era shooters, and Blank Bit is a glitchy, twitchy deck-building platformer. They're both very weird, very fun, and very 50% off! Or you can grab them in a bundle for $3, which is 62% off. Every little bit helps!
Thanks so much for reading, and if you aren't interested in buying either games, maybe you could help with a retweet? I've been spreading the word on Twitter here.
🙏

Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)
Here's a workaround that seems recent and fairly easy to implement. Would love to hear if this works for you.

Hey thanks for the post! And sorry to hear you're not able to run the demo. Unfortunately, this is a security issue that Catalina forces on its users, and it requires apps to be verified (or "notarized" as they call it) before the computer will run the program. That's a process we sadly don't have time to go through for this demo, but we're looking for a workaround to help our Mac-using friends. Once the game is finished and released, however, it will play nicely with Mac, for sure. :)
Aquamarine is a quiet survival adventure about perception and discovery in an alien ocean.
You play as a lone space traveler known only as The Seeker, whose starcraft is intercepted by a malicious signal while orbiting an uncharted planet covered in water. Forced to eject from her malfunctioning starcraft, The Seeker is marooned on a tiny island surrounded by an endless alien ocean, with nothing but her amphibious survival pod. Throughout her underwater journey to reach her crashed starcraft, she'll uncover the lost history of this planet reclaimed by the elements, and learn the true nature of why she ended up here.
A small-scale, story-driven game inspired largely by the psychedelic sci-fi of the '70s and '80s, Aquamarine combines old-school roguelikes and the survival genre with the exploration and puzzle solving of classic point-and-click adventures. Aquamarine is a turn-based adventure game emphasizing strategic survival, perceptive exploration, resource management, defensive tactics, and environmental puzzle solving. Your ultimate goal is to reach your crashed starcraft, but only if you can stay alive long enough find a way there.

This past year, we've been hard at work preparing for our Kickstarter campaign, and now we're announcing that it will launch on January 22, 2020. We even made that ~*mysterious*~ little teaser trailer above to share the news. ✨🔮✨
We'll be sharing more details about the campaign over the coming weeks, and you can see more of Aquamarine on our Itch page, of course. You can also follow our development and crowdfunding progress more closely by subscribing to our monthly email or joining our fun little community of supporters on Discord. 🗨💻
Thanks for checking us out!

Not too late at all! If you're on our mailing list, we'll be sending out the secret demo link in the next couple of weeks. So excited to have you be a tester! Thanks for asking about it :)
Hey there! Thanks for checking out Aquamarine. We took down the files for the original Kickstarter demo because we are giving the game a major overhaul for our next crowdfunding campaign. When that launches in the next couple of months, we’ll have a new free demo available for download. :)
Thanks for being patient with us in the meantime! If you want to stay updated and receive early builds of the demo, we have a mailing list and a Patreon you can join.

Thanks for making this video and sharing such great feedback. Just FYI, there's more than one type of creature on the planet (three so far), though maybe you didn't find them. But yes, a handful of important components aren't included yet and will be in future updates. Keep an eye out in the coming months to see more from us!
