My cat (and I) approve this game.
It's casual enough to be enjoyed by everyone and engaging in a lot of ways.
Good job to the creators!
Regarding the theme, my main idea was to have a boids system that as a mob mind. You control the general movement and give comands to the mob, but the individual fish will make it's own path (decision). There is a lot to add here: panic flee from sharks, auto feed due to hunger, etc. That's the A.I.
Thank you for playing 🙂
I found it a bit difficult to play. At first I didn't understand the purpose of the game, but after a second read of the tutorial (too much text, I did the same error in mine ahah) I managed to understand and play. It has a pleasant feel with nice art. Music is a bit too punchy.
All in all, good game!
Great game! I found buying robots and updating their settings a bit difficult with all the monster around me. Also, the monsters behavior could have some variation.
The monster warning screen (although pretty cool looking!) it should pause the game since there will be still monsters around me trying to get me.
Art is awesome, loved the animations in the title screen. Music was also on point (although mid game it paused an resumed randomly for me).
I managed to go as low as 50 seconds left in this great and polished game. Congrats! You should feel proud of this!
Thank you so much! It was my first time doing pixel art and recording my guitar for a game jam, so your comment really warmed my heart.
About some of the shaky fish, at our home we called it "the crazy ones" ahah. There are no collisions in this game, it's the "mob mentality" programming that keeps them separated and following the same general direction. I used the concepts of "boids" for autonomous movement :)
