Honestly thought the butterflies would be shown when a well is nearby, aka the save point. Since they have a pretty blue color that makes you feel...safe? Idk. Regardless, the thought process behind it is interesting.

That's alright, I enjoyed the game regardless. The art and characters are cute and the horror elements are just as scary. I love Patricia and Ida as a duo. Ida is definitely my favorite! I liked walking around the mansion and reading her dialogue once she joins you. The story was enjoyable as well! Overall a well made game!
You mean the planner, right? All it talks about is the nurse when I choose to read it again, even though I told the nurse what I found.
Edit: I decided to reload and talk to the parlor ghost before the nurse. I was able to find the clues from the planner this time. I think I might've been locked out of finding info since I helped the nurse first.
Hey, I'm enjoying the game a lot so far! I'm close to two hours in, but I'm stuck. I'm pretty sure I've checked everything I can. I've helped the nurse remember who she is and also summoned the maid ghost. If you could give any hint or a push in the right direction, that would be great. I'd love to finish it!
Oooh you're using a .rar file. If you don't have something like winrar to convert it, I'd suggest using https://extract.me/ to convert it to .rar to .zip, download the .zip it converts, then extract the folder.
Try downloading the RPG Maker VX Ace RTP:
https://www.rpgmakerweb.com/download/additional/run-time-packages
Then after installing it try opening the game normally from the game.exe.
I really like the atmosphere of the game with the lighting to the effects. Also I loved the descriptions of what the player is doing when interacting with stuff, very detailed! I loved the maps, very detailed and nice! I had a question: when you get the gameover from looking at the dresser in room 1 of the inn, is that the end or is there more to it? Also I found some bugs, (1)When you go into the shed next to where you got the shed keys, and go into the basement, then when you interact with the guy he changes character. (2) When you wake up from your flashback (the one from room 1 in the inn), the exclamation point doesn't go above the MC, but to the side out of the map. (3) On the first floor of the inn, when trying to open the door at the very back of the room (near the staircase), you open the door but don't actually go anywhere.
I like the game so far but it really is lacking sound. I realize you want to add custom music/sound effects but maybe add some temporary ones? It was sort of hard to enjoy without it, like when there was a rumble to the north or when Elena mentioned sounds she heard it felt empty. Otherwise I like the concept and I'm looking forward to the full thing someday.
No offense but, and I know it's a prototype, but what was the point of putting a download so early? I played through it once then recorded it the second time to see how long it would take to examine everything and damn- 37 seconds. It took me longer to download and extract the game. I'm sure it will be something cool but I think you should wait a bit longer.
I haven't finished the game yet cause I have no clue where to go after getting the slop. I like the art in the game but finding where to go is the most confusing part due to the mapping. Also you get stuck when going into Mr.Dog's house and get spawned somewhere you can't move when going down the stairs of ❤❤❤'s house.
It didn't fully understand the story- but I found the game very charming. I loved the art and maps. The music that played throughout the whole game was a nice touch. Although there were a few instances where you'd go through tilesets you weren't supposed to go through - that's the only real problem I had with the game. Everything else was great!
