Watching cyber_ghostie stream this game was both an honor and a cringe (as a few bugs were found). I'm unable to fix these while it's in scoring but I can lend advise if you see these:

Firstly, free tip: You can actually jump 5-10% higher when you bunny hop (done by holding jump key when landing) It appears there's one or two ledges that are ONLY reachable with this extra height boost that were missed when testing. (oops)

Due to last moment level swap issues a work around was set where the game returns to main menu to ensure it loads each level properly whenever the player dies or wins. If you reach the flag, don't worry, you still won, you can tell because when you start the next level in sequence it will load your collected nuts and ammo you ended with. If you died it will load your nuts and ammo from the level prior. This reset has been seen having a 1-2 second lag between resets. Other than quirkiness still functions normal. (I suspect that lag only affects browsers, and only some cases)

The Screen overlay issue cyber_ghostie ran into cannot be reproduced on my end. If you see any issue with the screen overlay, consider swapping browsers or better yet try an installed version of the game. This is my first port to web so I really didn't anticipate that issue even being a possibility.

Lastly, there's an issue where jumping becomes non responsive, (mostly seen when you're touching lose nuts) the [backspace] key will disable jumping for two seconds then reset it to fix this issue. Otherwise just wiggling the player, moving into something or off a ledge will often fix it.

Really like the overall visual aesthetic.  The soup/chicken resource mechanic is an awesome way to make it feel like there's strategy to the game and therefore much more engaging. I would definitely want to play this through multiple levels of increasing difficulty.

Very fun and unique concept. The child interactions are really what makes it fun! I feel a lot of the child interactions are easy to miss on first play through since the game objective is try to find time where it's safe to ignore your kids to get your work done. Would be cool to see an objective that forces more interacting with the kids, like getting them ready for daycare.

Great work overall!

Due to time, haven't played the game much myself TBH, a lot of the updates we're made at the end just hoping they'd work right. I think the upgrades comment is extremely fair and would be easy to update after the jam scoring is final, which could break some repetitiveness. I am tempted to see what another week put into this could add. Thanks for the feedback!

Got a coool team of 2 looking to add a coool artist to take on artwork for the jam. 2D sprites and stuff. Any jam related experience is all good.
