This game is cool. The game starts off with a very interesting concept! It allows for a lot of interesting stories and it's not too hard to see that the team really did use this concept well!
The stories all follow a path that has some sort of different relation to the LGBTQ community, from my understanding, Seiren follows an aroace story, Sumireko with a sapphic story, and Haru has a trans story. While I don't fall under any of these monikers (could be trans I never know) I believe that all of these representations are quite great and are accurate to the lgbtq themes. I can relate to almost every story even if I don't fall under those identities, and I think the game excels at that.
Also I would like to give an applause to the artist. The art is phenomenal and brings so much life towards the stories. The art style is unique and I always find myself falling in love with the art, sometimes it could be a character model or a major piece of the plot. It can be a bit idiosyncratic at times but overall it is quite good!
The story at times can be wonky though. It's overall solid and while having a lot of basic storylines that are predictable; although it also adds things to it that help it be more unique than the average vn. I don't really understand the relationship development between Koishi and Kokoro. They kind of just kiss at the end and I'm befuddled. Why? Apart from that, I don't have any major issues with the story that aren't nitpicks that are too nitpicky for a game jam game lol. Like the Haru story it's not too developed about the relationship between Haru and Kaguya, but it's not too important for a relatively short game.
The gaming sections are also quite fun! Whack a Fumo is just fun to mess around with, the fishing game is also fun, and the card game brings a difficult but fun challenge to the overall easy games. My only gripe is that the Reisen game is way too easy even for the relative easiness of all the regular games, it's kind of just there.
Also the voice acting is cool! I did not expect a game jam vn to include the voices for characters! Although it unfortunately is awkward at times. All of the voices fit the characters, but the voice acting is not perfect. I did enjoy the inclusion of the voices however, I usually skip dialogue immediately once I read it, but the acting made me want to listen to it throughout and allowed me to think more of the dialogue rather than just skipping through.
Overall, this game is a great addition to the game jam! It changes some things about the VN aspect and also creates an awesome experience through-and-through! I can tell that a lot of effort and joy was put into this game! I hope to see more from every person involved with this game! Best of wishes to everyone here.
