For real. What's even worse is that he must have initially planned to complete it, due to the actual work being done, then just decided "I can't handle this" and dipped - wasting both his own efforts and our funds simultaneously. 

The frustrating part about these events is how they take advantage of people's trust and genuine support - both emotionally and financially. The bank this game would have made, too..

while nice, music takes a back seat in priority compared to ero-VA during the scenes

Great little vn slice-of-life sim hybrid! Just a couple of little quality of life ideas that would be great:

- toggle option for the dialogue interface - gotta let us appreciate those CGs and l2d sprites in their full glory! ;) 

- font options (bold at least, I'm half blind haha)

Honestly, I cannot agree enough with this! Many devs seem to believe the existing insert-faceless-hentai-protagonist works well enough, but..it ultimately feels hollow.

There are a few VNs out there that give our player character a real personality and interests. When they do, it feels much more intriguing overall. An example would be Kaoru or "Producer-san" from Shining Song Starnova - this MC, apart from actually having eyes and a non-standard hair colour, has his own story filled with hobbies, dreams, regrets and very strong opinions!

This was my first experience with a VN protagonist that felt properly "alive" and fleshed out. The proof of concept being in essence: as long as you make your player character a relatively sane individual with a good heart, they can and will receive the audience relatability that the developers crave, regardless of their hobbies, interests, opinions and, within reason, appearance.

aww darn x) no self-inserting for the main audience! Please reconsider :P (something along the lines of Shining Song Starnova: male protag producer with Kairi as one of the Idol choices alongside the other cast members)

Oh wow, think this is the first time I've witnessed two devs from projects I backed on KS uniting beyond shout-outs. Most interested in seeing this alliance flourish! KANPAIIIIII
