Just made a blog post about that :)

I've been working on a post jam update so I've been keeping these suggestions on my mind! Thanks for playing.

Fear of burning.

Ardere is to burn in latin.

I really like the cats :)

The art, and 2D movement reminds me of the original scribblenauts for the DSI. And the gameplay was good. I accidentally managed to go around the entirety of the last level.

It's like one of those old flash games, that is kinda neat.

I do like the whole objectives getting bigger, and this is a nice zen game, but after a while it gets a little stale. But I enjoyed my time with it!

As the games went on it got more rage inducing, I would recommend some instructions on the quiz minigame, any maybe tweaking the controls on the dinging minigame in the forge section.

I probably should've put something saying you can shoot the torches lol

Yeah, I'm using a custom rendering engine I made that lets me use the GPU to draw triangles to the screen with custom shaders I write in GLSL

The Lantern (IIRC) was the main inspiration for the draining health idea.

I plan on it. Firstly improving most of the mechanics after the jam lol.

the hardest thing was probably the ai of the enemies

thanks

I'll try to balance that out after the voting process and the jam have ended, thanks for playing!

I plan on maybe doing an update after the voting time, and game jam have fully ended. I'll be taking this into account. Thanks!

thanks!

yeah the enemies do give chase. You must have been evading them real good though, most of them can't see too far. And the shader is in the project file if you want it!

Nice!

Hey im having  trouble every time I render the image just comes out black I am using blender 2.92 I have my pallete indices set to 0-255 any tips on how I can fix this?

Hey Isaac you could use the COS() of the and difference of the ray from the player to smooth the fisheye.

I am making a mod with the source code and it crashes when I open free play I only added 4 characters.

Thanks!

Thanks for replying I am working on other projects might come back to this one later!
