Day 1 done.

Nothing visual to show from today as it was all behind the scenes stuff. Implemented a scenegraph for 3D transformations and started work on a scene system (so I can have MenuScene, GameScene, etc...) as well as starting on some shader handling code so I don't have to write it all out a bunch of times. Goal with the shader stuff is mostly to enable scene transitions, post-processing effects and the like.

Tomorrow and Monday It's likely to be mostly quiet from me as I'll be travelling home for Christmas with the family. :)

Hi, Mike here, I spent the night thinking about this and I've decided to go for a space flight sim (I'm thinking trading/exploration/combat). My initial idea was for a Space station base building game, but I sat down to map things out and I nearly had a heart attack when I saw all the resources I would need to balance.

I'll try to keep this up to date as I go with screenshots and stuff, but if you're interested in keeping up to date the best place to do so is on Twitter: https://twitter.com/OkinawaTerminal

I set up a GitHub repo last night for the jam, so you can follow along with my source here: https://github.com/OkinawaTerminal/LibGDX_Jam

Thanks!

Hi, I'm Mike and I'm going to give this a shot. By day I'm a developer doing mostly Web related stuff (C#, HTML, Javascript, SQL, etc) but games are more interesting. I've done a couple game jams before and I'm liking the idea of this being a month long as I'm a busy person. Obviously I'll be using LibGDX, but other than that nothing is decided at this stage, probably GIMP for graphics though.

It'd be awesome if you could follow along, I'm on Twitter here: Okinawa Terminal

Finally, Good luck to all! :D
