got basically infinite with the energy replenish and 1 cost spells, fun game :D

Thanks for the fix!
I'll pick it up again if I can skip the first 3 levels (maybe a level selector could help)

Hi, I follow you on YT and really like your content, especially your artstyle.
The dialog + gameplay of levels 1-3 is too long and tedious.
When the teeth on the 4th jump the game crashed (I was playing on browser)

it'll be on android in about a week

Yep, I'll be publishing for mobile (both android and ios) within the next month

From a copyright standpoint, I think you can copy almost any mechanic you want. I wouldn't be against that, but even if I was I don't think I could do anything about it.

You cannot use materials from the game (sprites, music, ...) or a title that is too similar. If you'd like to do any of this, we could talk about a licensing agreement when your project is a bit more advanced.

Good luck!

Could you elaborate a bit more?

Describe your idea a bit, and what parts from the original game do you want to use?

yep, it is for the demo. I'll remove it

the idea is to improve it, because otherwise it's way worse than other pieces

yeah, I did it this way so it isn't completely useless when there's a rock in front of it

there's an AI difficulty slider on the main menu settings, that should help

tbh, I can do that because there aren't that many comments

I'm actually working with a publisher to make it happen.

It should come out in the 1st quarter of 2024.

Hi Trajan95, why is this? you don't like Steam?

the full game has local multiplayer (you can play 2 people on the same computer)

the full game is just 10$ on Steam, and there's lots of new units

yep, there's a bug in this version that allows you to fight some characters that you shouldn't be fighting

When I get all translations, I'll upload a new version with some bugfixes + the translations (this should be roughly at the same time I upload the Mac version to Steam)

I'm working on it. It'll probably be out in a month or two (I'll make an update with mac support and multiple languages)

Thanks, I'll make sure to look into it

Yep, you definitely shouldn't be finding those pieces in there.
Did you somehow hack the game?

no, the AI is all the same level

It tries to avoid getting units killed by blade danger in general. But if you fork there's nothing it can do, and also it doesn't look too far into the future.

this is just the demo, the full game's on Steam and is more difficult.

Thanks! Glad you liked it

Nope, it was done by the Spanish illustrator Isaac Murgadella -> https://twitter.com/Ismurg

Oh, I guess it's a bug. I'll try to fix it.

Try to get closer to the rooks with your king while dodging the checks and after that try to get your other pieces more involved in the game

Thanks!
Won't be on Mac on launch, I may add compatibility later (I blame apple for making it so hard... Linux is so much easier).
As for mobile, I may do it in the future.
How much would you pay to buy the full game on mobile?

sorry, you can join here: https://discord.gg/VeDmFJZrR9
I'll update the link when I have some time

Probably deleting cookies or something.

Maybe playing from another browser or in incognito mode would work too

Thanks! Glad you liked it

Hi xyncht, thanks for pointing that out. I think for the demo it's ok, as it allows players to discover cheese strategies. In the final version, you'll be able to discover the portal mage when the enemy already has enough pieces.

I'm working on it, you can wishlist the game on Steam:

thanks, I'm glad you like it! :D

Hi David, again you are correct. I had that one on my radar and I'll hopefully update a fix this week. Thanks! :D

My bad, the behavior is correct, but the text isn't. I'll change it on the next update. Thanks for noticing.

Hi David, I'm glad you liked it!

Thanks for the suggestions and the pegasus bug report. Just fixed the pegasus thing, and I take note of your ideas as I may implement some of them later.

Hi Resliot and thanks for the feedback. Constructive feedback like this helps me improve the game.  Regarding your points:

  1. Noted, I'll try to make it a bit easier by adding a rewind mechanic, and maybe adjusting the number of enemies.
  2. Never alone was indeed bugged, I've uploaded a new version with a fix (I was debating whether to call it never alone or bodyguard, and that ended up causing the bug).
  3. I fear that the player may be too strong if starting with the original chess pieces (plus they won't have much room for upgrades), but I will test it internally.
  4. The "kill all pieces but the king to win" idea is interesting, and it changes the game a bit from its current form. Now if you're left with just a bishop it's impossible to win, but in that situation, it'd count as a win, which I think is fair but may run counter to chess players' expectations. I will probably implement this in a future update.
  5. Finally, I've identified an error in the bishop, knight and pegasus descriptions and some inconsistencies in format in the biking and berzerker's descriptions. Any other unit where you found errors?

Overall great feedback, thanks for your effort!
