From a copyright standpoint, I think you can copy almost any mechanic you want. I wouldn't be against that, but even if I was I don't think I could do anything about it.
You cannot use materials from the game (sprites, music, ...) or a title that is too similar. If you'd like to do any of this, we could talk about a licensing agreement when your project is a bit more advanced.
Good luck!
Nope, it was done by the Spanish illustrator Isaac Murgadella -> https://twitter.com/Ismurg

Hi Resliot and thanks for the feedback. Constructive feedback like this helps me improve the game. Regarding your points:
- Noted, I'll try to make it a bit easier by adding a rewind mechanic, and maybe adjusting the number of enemies.
- Never alone was indeed bugged, I've uploaded a new version with a fix (I was debating whether to call it never alone or bodyguard, and that ended up causing the bug).
- I fear that the player may be too strong if starting with the original chess pieces (plus they won't have much room for upgrades), but I will test it internally.
- The "kill all pieces but the king to win" idea is interesting, and it changes the game a bit from its current form. Now if you're left with just a bishop it's impossible to win, but in that situation, it'd count as a win, which I think is fair but may run counter to chess players' expectations. I will probably implement this in a future update.
- Finally, I've identified an error in the bishop, knight and pegasus descriptions and some inconsistencies in format in the biking and berzerker's descriptions. Any other unit where you found errors?
Overall great feedback, thanks for your effort!
