Now the game pad is supported and working fine.

The first texts tries have begin. The idea is to have some facts about the town as it grows bigger.

Thanks a lot. I have the door to end the level now. It shows the number of keys needed to open. I'll start making the "Corruption" animations.

I'll love to read your comments.

Things to do:

                 - The Corruption animations
                 - One or some of the guards will carry a key to open the door for the next level.
                 - Door for the next level.
                 - Lose condition and GUI.

This will be the new appareance of the Tank enemy. Not a sight you want in a narrow corridor.
On the bright side, the shop has new drawings, giving a bit more the vibe of a shop.

After some pause I am re doing the game from scratch. I will keep the same art, but change the code to minimize the glitch of enemies moving through walls rendering the level unbeatable.

I check that, given the fast pace of the attacks and movements, the aiming switching button has no real purpuse, so I take that code off too.

There will be coins drop by the fallen enemies, as well as hearts to regain some health. (Working already)

And now, after beating all the enemies, a stairs will appear on a spot in the level. Touching them you'll go to the shop point (WIP), and into the next level.

There is support for gamepad.

I'll upload the new version in a little. Still need to add the code for the touch screen, the visualization of coins, and the current level. (Done)

Después de algo de pausa estoy re haciendo el juego desde 0. Voy a conservar el arte, pero se cambió el código para minimizar el error de los enemigos atravesando paredes lo que impedía terminar un nivel.

Viendo que el juego es rápido, el botón de cambio de mira no tiene un propósito, así que quité ese código.

Habrá monedas que que dejen los enemigos caídos, también corazones para recuperar algo de vida (Hecho)

Ahora, al vencer a todos los enemigos, una escalera aparecerá en un punto del nivel. Al tocarla nos llevará a la tienda (Trabajando en ella), y al siguiente nivel.

Ya tiene soporte para control.

Subiré la nueva versión pronto. Aún debo agregar el código para pantalla touch, la visualización de las monedas, y el nivel actual. (Hecho)

To do list:    

  • Level up for the main character
  • Working chests (Money, life)
  • Special Shots, using energy (Blue Bar)
  • A shop to buy said special shots
  • Tokens from the enemies to unlock animations on the gallery mode
  • Cycle of levels, Arena, Shop, Arena
  • Save the unlocked things
  • Animations for the gallery, and graphics for enemies and some status.

  • Cofres que funcionen (Dinero, vida)
  • Tiros especiales, usando energía (Barra Azul)
  • Tienda para comprar dichos tiros
  • Tokens de los enemigos para desbloquear animaciones en el modo de galería

  • Guardar las cosas desbloqueadas

I am doing new art for the game and the GUI. Life, energy and experience bars are now on.

I could be done. I'll need some time since I am working in the spiritual sequel of the game. Less clicks, more sneak and with some help in the graphics.
Plus I got a 9-6 work, so I'll be a bit slower to make things.

I'll let you know when the update is on.

The update with the LControl or mouse button is ready.

I am working on an edit for the pc version so you can use both, the mouse button and the left control key to add corruption to the bar. I'll upload it as soon as possible. Thanks again for the comment.

Agree with you about the tapping on the mouse, even worse when the NPCs notice you since they put a lot more effort against the corruption.

It could be nice to have a more "mouse" friendly version, (keysecuences maybe).

Some ideas were left behind on the making, like a gallery for the "corruptions", I must admit it is my first try to make a game and still need more knowledge and experience.

They say "second parts are never good", yet maybe I can make a second one with this idea, using more "standar" controls, and with the whole ideas I had for this game (I was thinking about a more sneaky game, with places to hide and ambush).

Thanks again, and hope you enjoy my other try of game too, the shooter Xiuhomolpilli (Tie new years), based upon a couple of beliefs from the aztec culture.

El enemigo es funcional, y ya tiene una animación al chocar con el "héroe". Ahora puedo agregar más animaciones de corrupción, más animaciones de final para los NPC, y claro, más niveles y animaciones de "conversión". Subiré la actualización pronto. Voy a agregar al menos 2 niveles más.

The enemy is functional now, and it has an animation when it collides with the "hero". Now I can add more corruption animations, more finishing animations for the NPC, and of course, more levels and "convertion" animations. I'll upload  the update soon. I'll add at least 2 more levels.

Agregando un nuevo tipo de personaje "Enemigo". Un virginal ser que te perseguirá al verte. Se mueve más rápido, y tiene mejor vista que los NPC normales.

Adding a new kind of character "Enemy". A virginal being that will chase you on sight. Moves faster, and has a better sight line than normal NPC .
