Alright, I appreciate you explaining and pointing me in the right direction (:

Wow, very interesting! If I am able to figure it out and implement it, would you mind me using this method with credits to you?

This is such a great game and so good as a demake. The animations especially blew me away. I was wondering how you did the sword swipe animations. In the sprite sheet they are multi-coloured, which makes me think you used code to set those pixels at various times to the specific white/grey in action? Do you mind explaining a bit of how you made those visuals, however you did? @Jakub Wasilewski

Thank you for the feedback! I only tested this on a keyboard, and when I tried a controller or the mobile version after I uploaded it, I did notice it was difficult in some ways. As the armadillo, you need to be constantly moving to stay curled up. That is a very good idea going forward, for a more forgiving experience, to be able to get back into the form of the most recent animal. Thank you for playing!

Thank you, and it is indeed. Though I think it helps to encourage movement in other forms? Getting the sword is basically the end until I fix the inventory.

Thank you, I was thinking of making something more with the idea. I thought of them as more sea otter creatures maybe crossed with a ferret. But there is a lot up to interpretation with only 128 pixels or less.

Hello, all! I just uploaded my project with 21 minutes to spare, working right until the end. Could I also have the extra day to fix an issue with the inventory and some small bugs  please?

My submission is entitled Encroaching Shadows https://itch.io/jam/metroidvania-month-16/rate/1575588
