Hello There everyone, Pada here from the Wolfsbane Team.

Sorry for the little contact to this part of the fanbase and further more little help with troubles, the past few weeks were very busy for most of us, due to school or work related activities. 

I will work down the list of things asked for, worried about or simply mention worthy as I read this Section so if you are only interested in specific things feel free to look for the highlighted part you desire.

Is the Project Dead?

As others lovingly informed you all, no it is not dead. In fact it is more alive than it has been for a while. For why progress has been comparatively slow, well, I harped on that part already. We are all pretty busy with life things, especially I am with new work I have picked up, though on that front I can tell you I will be back to finish my work on the current Chapters scripts in the coming days given I will have a week off soon.

Well uh, hello, here is the news. Sometimes it takes a bit, my bad. The Teams progress is good and stuff, I guess. NEWS! yeah. 

Hatred towards characters.

Mutual my dear friends. I hate many of them too, do not worry though, I am sure DD will be nice enough to eventually have them all suffer in their own ways. Also bad VN enjoyer! BAD BAD BAD! Stop thinking thats a good thing! Thats my job. 

Current Length of the Novel.

It is hard to tell as it does come down to your reading style. When I first read through it, keep in mind chapter 3 only came out by then, it was roughly 2 hours of reading and taking moments from here and there to just enjoy the situations? I would put a rough guess at 4 hours of exactly that, likely faster if you rush through and probably slower if you are not just checking for errors like me. 

Chinese Translation?

Last time I checked up on that it was not happening. Not yet at least, I am actually not sure on the matter, it has gone back and forth a few times, though be assured we are trying our hardest to get it going, given we want to extend a hand to the people who would like that. 

Well that seems to be it, Thank god I checked here again after... 3 weeks. My bad again, sorry. As for that, I shall bid you all a good day, night or eternal void for now.

Hello there, the itch goblin Padascos here.
A bit late as ever.

We have been hearing about technical faults of all kind, connected to Android systems. As someone who does not own one I cannot confirm the direct issues and fix them directly, yet people before have reached out to other players and talked about the version of the system you use for visual novels to work on android being the problem. As that is the best I can describe it as and given the fact that I have no idea if it is about not using the newest version or actually using the newest one, I advice after a retried installation to also try an older version of your VN playing software, or a newer one should you have not updated it.
How do you do that? No idea. But I am pretty sure you will find a way to work it out, Google will be your friend there as I reach my limit, as a good old apple slave.

Hello ones again from the Wolfsbane Team, more directly, the teams Itch Goblin.

while Cylerlord did share an older Comment from DD about the release date, recent times and Health changes on his End have lead to the realization that the current release date likely will not work out.

For that reason, expect Chapter 5 to more likely release in March or April.

Not much anyone can do about that sadly. We will try our best to get the next chapter out as soon as we can, and to prevent such unfortunate delays with the next one, but in the end, we can not prevent these troubles.

We hope no one is let down by this news.

Hello there. Padascos here, the ever present Itch Goblin.

As of Recent, DD, the creator and head of development, has been in medical care due to some Chinese New Year mess up. Do not worry, he is fine.

As it Stands, it might take a little longer for the Update to get out, as of course, all the Updates go through finishing touches by him and with him. Though, he, and the rest of us, will do our best to make sure the next Update releases at some point this Month. no strong dates are given, simply due to the fact that something like that never works out.

We hope the wait for the next update is not to painful to hold out on, though, if you really desire to be up to date on these things, joining the Discord is always an option.

Sorry for the late reply, I just got off my Winter brake. 

The only issue our side could find, if you have not fixed it yet, is that you may have accidentally not trusted the apk file on your phone, blocking it from working.

Other issues I could see either involve the Android device you use, not working at all with apk files due to age, or simple incompatability. Though, you must forgive me there, as an Iphone freak, I cannot call on that. 

We of course do hope you were able to fix the issue, now after 2 days.

If not, and the issue persists, after setting the apk file to trusted, and trying to check if your device even can play it, maybe try another Download. 

If any issue persist, we might be out of luck, as the issue is sadly not one we can fix on our side. 

This is mostly information for others with similar issues, maybe unable to comment or ask for themselves in the future. As I do greatly hope you were able to fix the issues in time, or moved on.

I am gonna doubt there is any way to do so, without having been there already. You will simply have to play it again, and make your Enter or M1 Key regret existing for a while. Sorry, there simply is no other way so far I know.
But, as this post is 3 hours old by now, sorry on that, I am gonna guess you did this already, so I hope ya could get to it quickly, and with ease.

Happy to hear ya enjoyed the little Game over side route we put in. We personally found great enjoyment in making it, mainly because one of our Members working on it, like most of you peeps by now, would love to get to the point with Draveyar finally. Yet, as the Narrator finely put, ya gotta play the long Game, or nothing.

Also yes, I'm still called Padacos in the credits and here on the side, because reasons.

I can assure you, the bits of weirdness you found are very often intentional and meant to be there, as this VN is meant to be one that is rather out there with its extreme chaotic nature.

Also the grammar thing, yes, we are knowledgeable of those, and try our best to work them out, as there is additions to other chapters every update, many of which we Scripts chaps don't even get to read sometimes, for good reasons.

Also yes, the MC is rather, well, Childish would be a good way of putting it, maybe ignorant. That is something that surely puts off a few people out there, yet we feel is a good approach, as to give other Characters on the story the capability to be better. Also it helps to prevent a loop going of simple positive reactions to anything.

Well, as I think I covered a bit of the stuff ya mentioned, I will go back to working. We all of course hope you continue to enjoy the VN, and its upcoming update, to the fullest, without technical issues getting in your way.

No, I expect, sadly for you, Micky is not an interest for the MC. He is all about Draveyar. Though I understand where you are coming from and trust me, we got many Micky fans out there who would love for him to be one.

Who knows, in the far future there might be a work by DD that makes it possible for him to be one, but as it stands now, he is not.

Hope that does not harm you playing experience, and of course hope you can continue enjoying it with the Updates to come in the Future.

Happy you asked, this is one of the questions that I love to answer personally.

Overall it can differ.

Lets start with the Writing side, that takes a while from first word written to completion. Its hard to really put down a time as DD, the creator, is still writing the story as we go on. Once he has written a Chapter that goes on ice until the Script Proof readers, Arglin and I, start working on perfecting the English in those chapters. that can take from a few days up to two weeks, coming down to the chapter length.

The Art, Music, Game programming etc. does take most of the time. I cannot speak for our talented Artists working on this stuff but the pieces do take a while, up to about a month generally to full completion. That can be made longer do to Real life stuff getting in the way or simply inspiration blocks. Which currently prolong the work on Chapter 4 before release do to the former currently creating some troubles.

I Can't obviously share much more than this, but I hope this could give you some perspective on the matter. We try our best to get these Chapters out with a good mix of Quality and Speed, in which case we generally prefer making sure the former is taken care of, with the later being rather unimportant.

Yes, the Chapters in the Game are mostly comparatively short when looking at other VN's, this is simply do to our general Style and pace.

DD, the Creator and Story Writer of the VN, is in origin a Manga writer, which lends itself well to him creating a VN which has a Manga style to its pacing and style.

We know and agree that we all would love them to be longer, which is slowly but surely happening, if you noticed in Chapter 3 when looking back at 1 and 2, but it generally will very likely not hit extremes like other VN's.

I had a small look into the potential issue you are having and to continue my search into that i would like to know if what you are doing is fully correct and or hindered by your system.

Are you using an android mobile system or is it something like an IOS or Google phone?

Are you also downloading the apk file that is given as a seperate download below the other 3 PC download options?

If you use an android system and are trying to download the apk file i would expect the issue to be in maybe your mobile system accidentally drawing from the wrong download link, having you press the correct one but accidentally downloading the windows download one. This could be fixed by a few things, cleaning the screen just in case that messes with the input, restarting the page in case there has been a linkage failure or waiting for a bit and trying again at another point in time.

These kind of failures are rare but they do happen, i hope of course that it was simply a temporary issue you were facing, if not please feel free to reply so i can have another look into the issue.

Interesting places your mind seems to be going to.

All i can say is that we all will have to collectively see where the story goes from here.

There is still a bunch to come, and who knows, maybe some of your wilder ideas come true in the end.

So far i can tell it is not yet a focus of us to add specific Anime references, they might very well happen by sheer accident or active will in the future but that is something that we all will have to see.

I'm certain there is gonna be atleast some in the future, though you should not bet on my Word on that one.

Still, Happy to see that you are satisfied so far with the Game, DD and the Team try their best to deliver.

Oh im not part of the Team behind the Game, nor am i officially endorsed by them, i simply Help people that seem in need of it and try to help DD (the creator) where i can.

To when its gonna be fixed, that is nothing the Game is related to, that is simply a normal thing for Anti virus systems to do, it is hard to tell why it triggered, most likely do to a random line in the code it does not fully know.

You will encounter it again and again, from time to time. nothing We can do about it. still, happy to hear you are doing fine now and dont have to fear damage to your PC anymore.

We had issues before regarding Wrong Virus calls by anti virus programs, let it first me said that your PC is ofcourse fine, it simply is a overly protective security system.

If you cannot open it to play that means your system is blocking it from beeing executed, which would make sense if it was a virus, to fix this simply search up how to make an allowance for execution for the program in your anti virus system, you will have to find the specific way on Google as it differs quite a bit from system to system.

Apart from that, happy to hear you are enjoying the Game so far. DD is sure gonna love hearing that.

For anyone else having the issue currently or in the future We advice to first and for most get it cleaned up by your anti malware system and then make a full security scan just to prevent any damage.

This has nothing directly to do with the Game or any Game on here for that matter and seems to be an issue with the Download on Itch.io as far as the guesses go.

There is other options for Downloads from external Areas that can been Given on the Discord Server, if you want to prevent encountering the issue at all and or also want to stay updated on these things in case they pop up.

DD has been breaking his head at this for a bit and can only Confirm with certainty that it is not the Game.

I find the idea funny that some seem to have issue with the style, to be fair i found it odd at first but looking into your work i got why its the way it is.

Not that its bad. I love the difference to others, gives it a sense of Uniqueness.
