Apologies for this being a bit late, life has been insane, but I just wanted to say thank you to Free Lives for sponsoring and making the SA Game Jam a possibility. This is something we look forward to every year and it always reignites a spark inside myself for game development. Also, thank you to the judges for seeing something special in To Die For :) Well done to everyone who participated!

This was such a great experience and I loved that at the end I saved all the little dinosaurs! It made me very happy :) The sounds were great and the music made me feel like I was on the most important mission of my life hahaha! My only piece of feedback would be for an emphasis on the movement of the spaceship - I didn't actually have to move much at all whilst I was playing. It might be cool if something was also trying to attack me from planet earth / below my space ship so that I had to move out of the way :) Great job overall though! <3

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! I love this game so much! A music-making game with the sound of monkeys / apes / baboons? GENIUS!

My only piece of feedback would be for the sounds to update more regularly when I place a character outside of a music box. When I had placed all of them outside of the boxes, the song continued to play and I had to close and reopen the game to start again. It would also be cool to have more varying sounds, but I realize that that was probably out of scope for the game jam :)

Overall I had so much fun playing around with the different sounds and experimenting with the creation of new songs. This is an example of something that is so simple but SO effective and just so cool. Well done!

I really love the look and feel of this game, it does make me want to eat ALL the candy! :P I love this concept of having to look after someone's pet and playing around with the pressures of having to looking after it / spoiling it too much / neglecting it. What came to mind was the idea of a tamagotchi-like game, where you have a little creature that you can nourish and grow to make it become this awesome monster thing or, you know... not :P And I think the fact that you can interact with the environment is such a bonus and leaves a lot of potential for little easter eggs / narrative moments :) Well done ya'll! I think this is great!

I can totally see how this prototype could be the start of something really amazing! Initially, it gives me "Dear Esther" vibes - and I can imagine how this could be a very cool environmental narrative game. My goal whilst running around and exploring was to get inside of the volcano, and when I did, I could just continue walking on the fire - and there was actually something really fun about that! I think this is an awesome start to something that could end up being really awesome! Well done :) 

This was SO fun and seamless to play! The controls were intuitive and the overall game play just felt so natural. I was so grateful for the tutorial / practice mode so I could get a grip of the controls before playing for real. I can just see how this would work so well on an arcade machine or even fun custom controllers in the future. It was a little hard for me to catch / dodge balls, but as I played more, the easier this got for me. Well done, awesome game!

Thank you so much for playing! Your feedback is really helpful. We know that there are a lot of inconsistencies/bugs within the game, but it's always really helpful when players tell us exactly when and where they are occurring. We'll be sure to fix those up ASAP :) 

Oh wow! Thank you so much for playing the game. We really appreciate it! Because this was a game jam game, we didn't get the time to add sounds or fix some of the really big bugs >.< But for the future versions of the game, we plan to fix the bugs,  add a lot more characters, branching narratives, consequences for your choices and of course, sounds! :P A save feature is a great idea!
