Felt a bit like classic Duke Nukem with the voicelines and booze collectibles. Lost me at the enemies all being one shot and awkward camera positioning.

Had a few issues getting stuck on walls where collision seemed to make me stick to them and prevent jumping unless I moved away. Managed to get boxes stuck in the second level with them with no obvious means of resetting them. Found a hole in the wall on the same stage that the character could pass into, not sure if it was meant to be a secret or just an error. Great for a jam, but needs more polish going forward.

A few issues/glitches during the powerup selection, but otherwise enjoyable. The music was felt perfect as an era clone of tetris with "secondary element" of which there were quite a few.

A couple things stood at as being not really in line with the "feel" of the era - the flags and the music/sound effects. Overall a pretty good homage to Kid Icarus, slap a few enemies in the earlier parts to increase the challenge and it would be a more complete package.

Definitely works within the constraints of an era-specific game. A strong contender for this jam, but would greatly benefit from more levels and a speed timer.

Oh boy was that music really grating in the factory. I also figured out that you could force two stars to spawn on a kill if you shot rapidly enough.
