Not OP but thanks for confirming! I had a feeling back when I played it in 08/09, but when the sprites are that size I thought maybe it was just a coincidence that they were similar.

Grats on the surge of popularity!

💞

As a Puzzle League aficionado, this is a great twist on it! Only took me like 10 minutes to beat, a great length. Would've liked controller support on the web version, but could've just been my setup too.

Lmao it's more on topic than 95% of the comments here.

Full release coming soon!

https://i.imgur.com/enBV94i.mp4 Sorry for the potato quality but I think it's still easy to see what happened.

Multiple logs since I can reproduce this fairly easily.

The first time I did this, the other day, it happened while I was trying to add these assets to the animation timeline. This time I was able to trigger it just by clicking off-program and clicking back on.

I'm on W10, some sot of i7 cpu, and an Nvidia 1060.

If the file is unzipped completely, and you've allowed it to run (bypassing the red window that pops for unsigned code), it's likely that your computer is too much of a potato to run it. Fortunately Ninjamuffin's working on slimming down the requirements and hopefully when he releases the next version of the exe it'll work for you.

Yooooooo That's the stuff I like

It works for me and a few other people who I talked to, but that's an issue I worry about, as the fnf engine i notorious for loading issues. Try refreshing if the loading bar gets stuck.

The Newgrounds version updated some stuff and it's much more manageable now. Try it out there.

> well i hate kade engine most of the time because sometimes you cant get 100% accuracy even if you get FC all sick but in whitty mod it's possible

Kade Engine now has an accuracy switch.  Flip from Complex to Accurate and it'll judge all of your Sicks as perfect. Complex timing runs like osu and judges you as accurate as you're actually playing, but Accurate judges based on your ranking. "Accuracy mod toggle (complex = ms based, accurate = normal rating based. ex sick = 1, good = 0.75, bad = 0.50, shit = 0.25)" You can get your 100% Sicks w/ 100% Accuracy that way.   I still prefer Complex with Etterna scoring just to challenge myself, since the little MFC / GFC / CB thing at the end of your score line tracks your general accuracy anyway. MFC is Full Sick, GFC is Full Combo with at least one Good, and any version of CB means Combo Break. And then there's BAD, lmao, which I still frequently carry with Whitty sometimes.

>Doubles

You mean the jack spam, right? Lmao yeah. Hate it. That's partially what makes Ballistic a bad chart. The spam just isn't fun. Takes away from a really good song and style, and the timing is kind of wonky. Like I said, if it ran on the health and score tweaks KE introduced recently to discourage mashing in a different way than ninjamuffin's -10 score and -1/50th health, there is no way Ballistic is passable for most people. It's only "easier" because that particular version of the Kade Engine has the maximum amount of mercy. Get Shit timing a few times in Madness and die, get Shit timing several times in a row in Ballistic and Whitty doesn't give a flying fart in space. Ballistic would be the equivalent to a Kaizo level if it ran on current KE.

This one doesn't do much for me with it being so close to source, but the full Pico week is super good. I'm quite enjoying the Mom vs Pico songs too, heh. Looks promising.

If the music's good I'd be willing to check it out.

Are you okay? I see your hateboner for Kade Engine (which I like because it acts like osu!mania), and in case you haven't been made aware, VS Whitty runs on an early version of Kade Engine, lmao. Also I don't hate Ballistic as a whole, just the chart. The song is great and I still love Whitty as a character. He's technically at the bottom of my "favorites" list, Zardy being the first "just okay" one.

> Why do people say Madness is harder than Ballistic
Simple. Ballistic is way easier to mash through. You take some massive damage on poor timing on Madness that's significantly more lenient on Ballistic. My accuracy on Madness is ~90% while my accuracy on Ballistic is ~75-80%, so I feel like Ballistic is the "harder" chart since I'm still not great at it even though I've played it way more than Madness. If Ballistic had the damage ratio current KE has I'm not entirely confident I'd pass it.

Dang. I was just trying to upload art, too.

As a note, I play exclusively on Hard mode songs and I'm pretty good at 4K mania games, so if I complain about a song/chart it's the game's fault, not mine. Good charts I can get 95%+ accuracy on, even if they're hard, so when there's easy-ish songs I'm only getting ~70%-80% on, I know right away there's a problem somewhere.

  1. Normal Friday Night Funkin' but in Kade Engine and my preferred source for  fixed charting: Even the worst songs are 8.5/10 (I'm looking at you, Monster), KadeDev calls his engine a mod so I'm putting it here, and badly needed recharts make everything an absolute gem to play. I love Kade Engine just for the sound offset features and accuracy tracking (the latter was why I loved FPS+ for so long before Kade Engine released). Anyway none of the following mods, as much as I love them, are better than the source game (with small tweaks).
  2. Hex: A little cringe storywise but the presentation is fantastic and Glitcher's scene change in-song blew me away the first time. (it is also a bop) None of the charts are particularly difficult but they all have little quirks that makes them unique and fun, and all the music is good.  Hex himself is great, what a good guy.
  3. SiIvagunner pack: I love all the custom sprites and there's a ton of music to choose from. A little awkward to use, menu-wise. Those blasted Chungus songs are amazing, also that weird Pico song where Pico and BF are two blonde guys is really good. I also like the Roses mixed with Daft Punk. Fun modding presentation and it's SiIvagunner, what's not to love? (the OG vanilla engine, that's what). If the chart's not a joke somehow, they're all pretty good timing wise. I mostly only play Normal on here since in most cases Hard is just aggressively high note speed with the same basic chart. Pretty solid overall, but has a few snags.
  4. Sky: I'm only REALLY ranking this high because of how hard I laughed. It made me smile the whole way through. Music and charts are pretty solid, but like Hex, nothing to write home about. Super cringe overall but in a good way, and it knows it.
  5. Tricky: A big improvement on the Kade Engine, the songs are both fantastic, the presentation is amazing, and the charting is mostly okay. Some of Madness's chart feels weird to me but it doesn't really take away from my enjoyment. Not really looking forward to the third song if it's going to be like Ballistic in "difficulty".
  6. Neo: Good music overall, needs to be on Kade Engine for Milf's song to be playable (it's not that good as a song either) but otherwise I love the presentation for a mostly vanilla game (Week 4's funny background events being the exception to "vanilla"). I've listened to Bopeebo and Satin Panties on loop more than I'd like to admit. I'm still sad that it starts on one of the best mod songs out there and ends on one of the worst. Wow.
  7. Midfight Masses, but recharted: Zavodila and Gospel are fantastic songs. The rechart improves playability by a lot, please try it out. Zavidola still sucks somewhat due to the awful engine and liberal use of jumps being incompatible with each other, but it's decently easy to FC Worship and Parish, and the rolling steps of  Gospel are really fun, even if my fingers are stupid sometimes. I S-rank Gospel easy (I hate those custom arrows tho), and managed an S-rank with Zavodila after a bit of work and I'm satisfied.
  8. B-sides, but injected in Kade Engine: Music is great, but weeks 2-4 aren't very fun to play. Weeks 5 and 6 blow everything out of the park and Cocoa is my favorite remix ever. Worth it just for weeks 5 and 6, but Kade Engine makes the other (decent) songs better.
  9. Whitty: First big custom mod, and it's showing its age. Ballistic's chart is Baaaaaad, like really bad, but Lo-fight remains one of my favorite mod songs ever.
  10. Zardy: Good presentation but I don't like the song and the chart's just okay at best. The big bass hit where everything goes funky is memorable but the actual fun tanks from there.
  11. B-sides, but original Engine: Week 4 is borderline unplayable. I beat it but I was miserable the whole time because of input issues. 5 and 6 show notable improvement though Winter Wonderland has some timing issues.
  12. Midfight Masses as released by the creators: Awful. Bad. What a terrible "improvement" to the engine. The songs and presentation are good, but holy cow the charts are Not Fun, and they've supposedly been worked on after complaints??? Overcharting at its worst, especially with whatever is going on in Zavodlia. Also those custom arrows in Gospel are incredibly hard to read. Do not do this.

I haven't played X-event but I saw a portion of of it I'm not really interested. Haven't played Corruption or C-sides nor am I familiar with them. This brings the fear of god in me and I haven't tried it yet, but it's really really cool.

I've been following this one slowly, got good enough coding to inject my character into being an opponent without losing some other character. Since I drew my character from scratch, I had to use a guide and a whole lot of math to stabilize the sprite jitters, but it works. Just getting this far has been ~20 hours worth of work (including just making the sprite sheet), and I don't even have a stage or any music yet, so know that if you want to make something more complex than an overlay, you got a ton of work ahead of you.

Kawaisprite uses autotune and splices stuff together as he needs it. https://twitter.com/kawaisprite/status/1333579033209040896

Ninja's mentioned he's added this and it'll be part of the next update.

Pretty sure this'll be in the next update, as it's already been merged in, apparently. https://github.com/ninjamuffin99/Funkin/pull/496

Do you just need an image hoster so you can link an image to a post or something? Discord, imgur, and imgbb are all good for that.

Here for #1 Roses! The Genesis / Michael Jackson feels are Perfect.

#2 is High
#3 is Thorns

I'm under the impression that ninjamuffin implied that since Tankman's being added to another game that's why Week 7 is taking so long. I think that 'leak' of Ritz everyone freaked out over first is going to be Week 8 and both could be released almost at the same time at the rate things are going. Just a guess, though, don't quote me.

If you're on Windows, hit WindowsKey + R to bring up the Run dialogue, then input %appdata% and hit enter. You'll need to go throughthe folder hierarchy of  ninjamuffin99/Funkin/ninjamuffin99 -> funkin.sol. Delete that to reset your scores.

You could probably make a shortcut there to backup your files when you're about to play a mod, then delete and replace it with the backup files too.

I don't know the location on a Mac/Linux/etc

DJ sterf has a 'mod' that retimes many notes across the Hard charts, and can also modify all charts to adjust for delay on your hardware.

Press Enter

DJ Sterf has properly timed setups along with a global offset tool so you can tweak the game to your preferred timing.

Your save data is stored elsewhere on your computer; overwriting the files shouldn't remove your high scores.

I used to play DDR/Stepmania with the PS2/3 controllers, with the d-pad being the arrows, but ALSO the face buttons being arrows too, as in Triangle = Up, Circle = Right, Cross = Down, and Square = Left. It's very good.

This guy did a bunch of resyncs and has a global offset adjuster that he did, linked in the description. The game's "easy" but with bad timing it's hard to be skillful to the rhythm (like other games), and this fixed it. My  Hard Week 4 score went up over 30k points after the fixes, and the timing adjuster might interest you on top of it.

Dunno if you figured it out or not by now, but I was just looking for the same answer.

Appdata -> Roaming -> ninjamuffin99 then just follow the folders in, and delete funkin.sol

The pencil and the sword were a little too guess-y for my taste but otherwise a great set of puzzles!

One of my first downloads in the BfRJaE and so far it's my favorite! It's such a fresh take on match 3. I ate a lot of helps and games trying to figure out some of the later-game special items. A little pdf instruction book could've been helpful; but I think I've figured out everything I've seen so far. Works mostly great on my phone, too; I sometimes have to close the app to start a new game for some reason, but it's not too much trouble, since by the time I end a game I should probably move onto whatever I'm procrastinating from. :,D
