First, I love that you went the vampire route! This is such a cute little game! It's a very cool take on the theme as well, hiding in the shadows to "escape" the sunlight. Love it! It would be cool to have a timed mode to add some more agency to the game! I could totally see this as a fun game on an app store! Great work!

Fun game! Unsure if this is a bug or a feature but I can move the pawn down vertically and capture any piece as long as it's in that straight line! After that initial move, I can only move it normally. So I captured a Knight piece at the opposite end of the board in one move using a pawn. But otherwise, this is such a cool take on chess and the theme!
