Hello dear 2d artists!

Im a programmer (currently working as freelance web developer) who started making games back in the early 2000s with Blitz Basic / Blitz 3D. I had a long break because of a lack of time (education, family, work, personal things, etc. ). I started making games with Godot again just some time ago and Im thrilled to see what's possible nowadays. I did some new projects but what was always bothering me was making 2d art / assets. The friend that had always followed me on my game making journey and contributed a lot of 2d art, ideas and opinions is now basically unavailable to me (that's how life goes, I guess).
I would really like to find someone that wants to work on casual stuff (basically for the fun of it) and also likes the intimicy of a dual guy (or girl) team. I am not looking for a lot of experience. More for dedication, passion and someone who also wants to deal with decision making and be part of the whole process.

I would prefer a German speaking partner, but English should be fine as well. If you think this sounds appealing then please let me know.

Bis Bald!

EDIT: also sorry in advance, I was not sure where this post really belongs.

Man, I hated that mom... but eventually all the hard work paid up :D Now there is enough money for all the puppies alive.

I hoped the theme would have been a little more influential on the gameplay side, though. But your game made me laugh and enjoy it somehow, good job.

Really cool idea. For your first submission, I think this was pretty decent work! I only had problems navigating, since it was hard to see where the platforms begin or end. Also the perspective (plus the rotation in the beginning) added to my difficulties. The concept of your game is pretty good and matching the theme.

This game was amazing! I found it hard to maneuver at times, but overall it was great! The style and pixel art is superb!

I really enjoyed this game! I played several times, thinking to myself "That can be improved". I dont wanna brag, but I managed a 10.652ft record and that felt pretty good to me :)

Would have been nice to have some more decoration or "easter eggs" (basically height marks) in higher space to get a feeling how far you actually went.

The rocket parts to chose from often had a two effects on the same stat (i.e. fuel). That can be intended, I would try to make an improvement there though.

All in all, a very nice entry to this jam! Thank you!

That game was really fun and as others said already, the VO and sound was amazing! Graphics were also pretty nice. The only thing that bothered was the weird mini-window size. I would actually leave the game window small and instead add the "fullscreen" button that itch.io offers. That way you can really have a full screen. For me, without the fullscreen option, I was often clicking outside the window, leading me to other sites and kinda ruining the amazing experience. And sometimes I could not really see my own shots, since they have almost the same color as the background.

Apart from those minor problems this was a pretty good piece of work!

Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it :) Sadly, Im not allowed to update until the Game Jam Judging period is over. So any Update will have to wait some time.
