Took the theme literally. This is my first game and game jam.
How does your game tie into the theme?
Its a game about staying over the loading bar as the game loads in

Fun game but i had an hard time with the controllers
I love that transition from the title to the main game. I definitely didn't expect it to be a 3d game. As I got higher up I really enjoyed that if I missed a jump I could save myself and keep climbing. Its a great way to implement a sort of saving mechanism and it feels really natural. Only thing is I had some bug where I would get stuck in walls, but I still had fun and managed to get to the end. Nice Job
bounce bounce game weeee
That loading bar effect is sick! For a first jam, think this is definitely a success!
When it comes to 3D platforms, it's always hard to do precise jumps when the camera is fixed. Maybe having the ability to do fixed rotation could help a bit if you're committed to the current camera angle (like by pressing Q or E, the camera shifts 90 degrees).
If you do keep up with this project, it would be awesome to see if you can come up with designs and integration for other concepts that we associate with downloading and loading things. Maybe the download bar gets really fast at the beginning and then when it hits 90%, it slows down to make that last jump stressful.
Good stuff regardless!
The camera movement at the beginning amazes me every time. Very cool effect!
I had a little difficulty positioning my character correctly in relation to the platforms when I was jumping, but I had a great time!
Really cool idea. For your first submission, I think this was pretty decent work! I only had problems navigating, since it was hard to see where the platforms begin or end. Also the perspective (plus the rotation in the beginning) added to my difficulties. The concept of your game is pretty good and matching the theme.
