Yes, if it takes too long to come up with a guess (I play in hard mode). I have a job. I used to have an old dog who would need immediate attention at times. I might get a phone call. There are plenty of reasons one gets interrupted in the middle of playing a puzzle. Who can afford to commit 100% of their time and attention to a puzzle until it's done?

Every day I play Wordle, Worldle, Nerdle, Quordle, and Dordle. Dordle is the only one that does not preserve my progress if I get interrupted and have to switch to another app or lock my phone. I've come close to removing it from my home screen and daily routine.
