What kind of color combo would you like? If you give me some base hex values I would attempt that for you. Color changes are fairly easy with Aseprite which is what I use. I haven't considered a jump animation but I will now. It may take me some time to implement though as I have a few other projects on the go. Thank you for asking!

Here's what i've got, I can't fit  it all in a screenshot but you can see I'm using a switch and a temporary value. The value is equal to a random value between 1-4, and then when 1, the enemy moves one value on the x, if 2, the enemy moves minus one on the x. etc. Y isn't shown here but you get the idea. Not sophisticated and works well enough for me. Thanks for the kind words!

I agree, I want that also and will work on implementing it. I also want there to be a character selection screen so you can choose your player's look; or at least choose boy or girl. Thank you!

Hi, I'm sorry I haven't been able to put more work into this but I hope to get back into it real soon. I appreciate your interest and your support. This is a solo project of mine and I don't have a coding background so it takes me a little longer to learn and then implement. The day night / weekday cycle with real time events drove me crazy so I just needed a break. I've been working on a boss mechanic and the storyline. Soon!

Thank you!!

I think I could do this at some point in the future but I am still very much a beginner at GB studio and I'm not sure how strong my coding really is. I am constantly changing things and experimenting so I doubt the quality of my work is good enough to pass on to anyone else. Also, I've used paid background tile asset packs that I've bought on Itch.io and I'm not allowed to distribute those in any manner so I'd have to redo all of my background tiles . I am thinking of making YouTube tutorials to walk through how I've made this... but I don't know if there's enough interest. When I finish the pause screen, inventory system, equipping, levelling up, and enemy mechanics; I will probably put that up for sale as a GB studio project file. Thank you!

Thank you Peb!

Thank you!

Hi! Thank you for all your lovely feedback! I'm still working away at the ninja mode + the GB studio pallet for these characters. I haven't yet put together a full set of GB Pallet Ninjas but I would create those if it's something you're wanting to work with. Here's a sneak peek at the look of the ninjas in color. (Almost done, just working on sword+shield states). I'll attach a screenshot of the GB pallet mode too.  I have made a few GB Studio demos with these assets but they do take up a lot of the available character tiles so getting the animation states just right can be a small challenge. Thanks again for your support and kind words. I'll try to update soon to keep ya going!

Sorry this took so long but I added Idle animations now.
Also improved run up animation state which had errors.

Thank you!

Thank you so much!

You're right. It's more of an Idle frame than an animation. I'll work on that!

Thank you so much! I made these characters because it was so hard to find simple, colorful, retro style sprites on itch. Are you using Unity2D? If so, feel free to ask my any questions about rigging up these sprites/animations as I'm always testing them in my own demo game. Cheers!

Thanks!

Yes!

Absolutely Free!

Thank you! Yes, I did make a small GB studio build to show off the sprite set. It helps a lot.

OH totally, same haircut too lol! I based it on Falco from Star Fox 64, or the Ruto people in the Switch Zelda games.

Hello again, I have now included sprite sheets for movement with a shield, and without a shield. Also a sprite sheet for Sword Only, and Sword + Shield. The guide will come next!

Hi! Thank you for supporting my project. I tailored this work for Aseprite but I will definitely make all the changes you've asked for. I plan to have these completed before tomorrow so you aren't held up. The shields are an aseprite layer that I'll just need to turn off and export as a "Sword only" sheet. I can also provide a guide and some recommendations for frame-rates/animation steps for each animation. Thanks again and I appreciate your feedback!
