It looks neat but I can't figure out how to play. The tutorial was very confusing, could use some simple text that actually spells out what to do. I figured out how to scan items, but what to do after that is beyond me. Clicking anywhere else doesn't seem to do anything. It seems a lot more of your time went in to polishing than ironing things out and making it playable and easy to understand. A lot better than what I submitted though lol
Extremely cool idea, and the art style is amazing. I just wasn't sure what I was supposed to do, and the dialogue and feedback during battles went away far too quickly so I couldn't deduce what I was doing wrong. No matter what I clicked, I was fast enough to read the top line which always read something like "Surprise is not a good match!" but that's all I could catch, and it even said that when I didn't click surprise. But I am OBSESSED with this game concept. A turn based battler where you mix drinks to "defeat" the customers. Such an original and cool idea! You really should keep building on that because I think it could be a hit! :) Cheers!
Thanks so much! I did intend to add a lot more, I just didn't have much time. The first few days, I was working on a different idea that I ended up scrapping and started over. I wanted to add particle effects and an explosion sound for the saucer, items you could pick up, and more of an interesting game loop. As for the visual scripting asset I use, it actually is extremely easy to use. I barely spent that much time on this project because I was procrastinating a lot lol.. If you ever need something to make prototyping and even full development quicker and easier, I highly recommend Game Creator 2. The developer of the asset is also very kind and responsive and he is always open to suggestions. The discord is full of really cool people too. My favorite asset on the Unity asset store :)
This one is my favorite so far! My only gripe is that the sound is SO LOUD lol I had to turn my volume down to almost the minimum xD Good work though. Most fun one I have played on the jam so far, and it meets the theme better than any of the other ones. You just may have my vote when voting starts.
"Reeper" and "Steven", that's not copyright infringement at all lmao
Not sure how you made this in less than a week, but I guess it has something to do with the software you used.
Felt like a very addicting mobile game, so if you did in fact develop this all by yourself then kudos.
Very strange premise that the game is built on there somehow being a gold mine and a dragon egg inside a prison lol but who am I to judge, I made a game about Orcs being addicted to grain haha...
This project feels like it would be out of place in any game jam, but it technically doesn't break the rules so there ya go lol
Really cool! Love the retro graphics! Couldn't figure out level 3. There's some fruit or something on the ground that I can't interact with, and a wobbly wall. Had no idea what to do. I reccommend having an easy way to exit the game, as I had to use task manager to close it. Other than that, great project for the short amount of time allowed. I can tell this isn't your first game :)
I'm not sure I understand. Clicking on "Start" doesn't do anything. None of the buttons do. I was trying the embedded web version, maybe it works as intended with the downloaded version... EDIT: Nevermind, I get it now. Really neat concept BTW. Feel like it could use a lot more substance though. If this is your first game, good job!
